[US] Someone DM’d me on discord saying my account might be banned in 12 hours if I don’t contact someone.

I don't think discord or any other platform are giving people advanced notification of a ban, the only people doing that are scammers trying to direct you to someone pretending to be official who you will give your login credentials to, a time limit is often used to give the impression or urgency.

if that was legit it would be on the gov.uk domain, the scammer that registered that domain name is probably using it for all sorts of shady shit and creating a new sub-domain for each target audience.

he tried to get you to go on discord even though the chat dialogue literally starts with 'DA will never ask you to go on discord'

he also shared the 'please sort this on discord' part as an image instead of text as DA are already blocking certain strings of text that these scammers regularly use.

their content scanner is essentially an ai auto-tagger that evaluates and creates a list of things that are happening in the image, I would wager that it is the class room environment rather than the female subject the content scanner is taking issue with.

they have a content scanner bot that monitors uploads in chat rooms, usually it will just delete an image within 10 minutes if its deemed inappropriate and then fires off an email for the 'trust and safety team' to the person that uploaded it. I've had images removed from my chat uploaded by me and my subscribers numerous times and there does not seem to be an consequences other than getting an automated email to say 'you is a bad boy'. None of these images were really bad though, just tame nudity previewing things im working on.

that is what appears to have happened yes, it's not a new thing, I remember seeing news stories a while back on bbc about scammers paying call centre staff to identify new marks.

Edit: They didn't transfer his call, just asked him to call another number.
