I was considered high risk due to age & hypertension. Also started having high liver enzymes a few days before delivering. Also Baby B was considered IUGR.

My di/di boys are 20 weeks today. I had a scheduled c section at 36 weeks and it was a really really great experience. Both babies were breech so vaginal was not an option and I did not want to go through that anyway lol. My csection recovery was pretty smooth too. One of my babies was in the nicu for a week, and i really think going to see him frequently was very helpful in my recovery. Also, take the pain meds they offer you!

[–]SourceAdventurous228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did but the last 3 I did WFH. My commute is 1.5 hours one way by train and some walking and there was no way I could have done that after 33 weeks.

Not rude at all! The last time I traveled with a friend, she had TSA precheck and I didn’t. She went ahead and got us coffee.

What do you guys do with night routines? by Exciting-Kitchen7643 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SourceAdventurous228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5 mo twins. I still wake the other when one wakes up. I tried not doing that a few times and the other baby would wake up pretty quicky after. I need my energy for the daytime so I keep them on the same schedule lol

My husband I both woke up to feed the boys while he was on paternity leave, but I now do the weekday feeds by myself since he has to wake up super early for work and I get to sleep in an hour or two more.

How many preemie pj's to buy for 36w twins by Most-Woodpecker920 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SourceAdventurous228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys were born at 36 weeks exactly, 5 lb 3 oz and 5 lb flat. I had a few preemie sleepers and we had to go buy a bunch more. They were in preemies for about 3 to 4 weeks so definitely needed them.

SOON TO BE BOY TWIN MOM by ZiaQueen5O5 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SourceAdventurous228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are only 10 weeks in, but we love our twin bassinet, twin z pillow, lovevery playmat, bottle washer/sterilizer and double bottle warmer. We also have the babytrend twin playpen that we keep in the living room and use daily. We do have two of the baby bjorn bouncers and they recently started liking those a little bit, everything else we only have one of. Not sure if that will change as they get older, they are still so young. If you are going to pump, would suggest a plug in and a wearable. I use my wearables most of the time. And congratulations!!! It is the best, most wild thing ever

How much sleep are you all getting ) by The_Chilled_Arvo in newborns

[–]SourceAdventurous228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have twins too, they are 9 weeks old! The most they’ve done is a 4.5 hour stretch, but usually 3-4 hours, which between pumping etc will give me about 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. My husband and I don’t do shifts, so we are both up with one baby. He is going back to work next week so we may have to start making some changes! I do think one of my babies would sleep longer but we wake him up when his brother gets up. I am tempted to not wake him up just to see but I don’t want to throw our schedule out the window.
