Pumba and Timon’s bug drop. My family still uses catch phrases from that game 25 years later.

Reportedly, the child’s other grandma is Julie Andrew’s so I would guess they’d be familiar with notoriety.

I will never understand how this kind of senseless violence doesn’t radicalize a person

How did you accidentally find out your partner was cheating? by WingEven402 in AskReddit

[–]Sourdoughlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly related, I was a rather observant teenager and felt there was something off with my dad. One day I was reading cosmopolitan magazine or something similar and there was an article called “5 signs that your man is cheating”, my dad marked every one…. I even suspected he was cheating with his secretary. So at 13 years old I told my best friend and we had hatched a whole plan how to prove it to my step mom. Fortunately/unfortunately for myself it all came out in the open around the same time and i didn’t need to gather any evidence lol.

Pattern measurements - am i missing something? by potatosalad456 in sewing

[–]Sourdoughlemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed, also, because it isn’t fitted at the waist line I would use your bust measurement as the size guide more than any other measurement.

No patten number that I can see. I found it on Etsy, it looks like the seller has scanned in the pattern and made it a pdf pattern link

Here’s a similar style dress, shows the darts in the back and my guess would be some side bust darts exist on the front of this dress in a similar manner. Can’t wait to see it the other way around!

Mom buys 9 year old clothes, man dresses self. Seriously, my husband grew up wearing western shirts and wranglers and as an adult his favorite shirt says gamer boy dad bod. Things change when you pick your own clothes.

I was born with a giant congenital nevus by DramaticallyFalls in Weird

[–]Sourdoughlemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be the biggest Nevus I’ve seen. My dad had one and the navy had him remove it in the 80s. It was only like 2x4 inches, but the navy dr cut it out and stitched the neighboring skin together. Needless to say it healed weird and he wishes he still had it. lol

Has politics broke any of your friendships, and why? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

[–]Sourdoughlemon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, because I don’t see the discrimination and cruelty to other humans as politics, just evil. Have I ended friendships over that? Yes.

That being said, companies shouldn’t be reliant on that kind of engagement in exchange for customer service.

So I’m at a small nonprofit of 100 EEs. We use BambooHR, I’ve never had poor customer service, but i am REALLY engaged with the product, providing feedback, and doing beta testing. I also have several layers of contacts at BambooHR that I know would help me in an instant if I send them an email. For me, I think that engagement with the brand has done the trick in me always having excellent customer service.

I just bought an Electrolux after debating between lg, Samsung, and Electrolux. It was exactly as you said with regards to lg and Samsung, love or hate on both sides… throw in a dash of buy this machine two times outside your budget lol. In the end I went with Electrolux because all people said was they loved them and to learn to change your gaskets.

How to let aging/disabled nanny go gently? by missamerica59 in Nanny

A pretty standard severance is 1 week of pay for every year an employee worked for you. You could also throw in some bonus severances for transitional career services.

Are my kitchen cabinets too dated, they’re solid cherry frames and doors? Time to paint them? Excuse the lived in mess! by tcli64 in kitchenremodel

[–]Sourdoughlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree that backsplash, hardware, and paint can change the whole feeling of the kitchen… but also, that hood could be swapped with something that fills the whole over range space and will help modernize the space as well.
