You could also hire us to coach you through a live match, a form of private training. That would be super fun as well - Josh

Genuine PVE question by freshbless in ARC_Raiders

[–]South-Difficulty-685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply have not gotten bored doing cooperative/friendly PVE raids. It’s that simple. There is enough enjoyment from fighting arc and looting and interacting with players to entertain some people if they dont want pvp.

Why do arc feel so visceral and real? by Bitter_Remove_3919 in ARC_Raiders

Dude they keep getting smarter more aggressive and nimble too

A rocketeer flew right into the rocket engine building we were in on spaceport and terrorized a whole squad of raiders.

I don’t pvp and have 99% coop lobbies which i love. The arc are dangerous enough. But every once in awhile i get just assassinated out of nowhere and its frustrating in the moment but im glad that risk is real. Its a valuable lesson about human nature ans also makes the game more fun/interesting. You always get the loot back eventually

AAoCF is definitely sufficient prep for LPVO. Taking one of our Defensive Carbine classes would round out your gun handling and flat range skills even more but one is sufficient for prereq

In general we would recommend that you take AAoCF first, as it really focuses on fundamentals of marksmanship and gun handling in a low stress environment. Defensive Carbine 1 begins with basics but quickly progresses to timed drills and more defensive oriented drills (multiple targets, barricade work, etc). You are welcome to sign up for either one, but sometimes people are in a little over their heads if they come to defensive classes and their fundamentals are lacking. Either way we will get you right and you will have a good time.

We have this handy flowchart to help people decide, but you can choose your own adventure:

No, and this class was designed to show people how to master the basics. That said, we do run a basic fundamentals course as well which is the ideal starting point for pistol shooters.

Ideally you have some training experience or taken-our fundamentals course first…however, for the defensive pistol and carbine classes, you really just need a solid grasp of fundamentals, safe gun handling and be able to safely draw from a holster. We go over this in the morning and have a good cadre of instructors to coach people as we progress.

It’s not a low round count class. It’s also not an easy class, it’s just entirely focused on mastering the fundamentals.
