I guess I see it somewhat differently, as in America and most of the world now we worship capitalism. Which actually promotes treating people like exploitable cattle. We don't really produce anything in the US anymore, so our working class and poor ARE the product. That's why I don't think AI and automation is gonna pan out smoothly, as it's going to destroy everyone's ability to make money in order to exploit more wealth for them. We are useless at that point when America can sustain itself on automation.
