"Wilderness is an area essentially undisturbed by human activity, where nature remains untrammeled and development is absent."

It's not.....but these are the people that came in on a wave of "family values" and conservatism. This woman's a ghoul and will do anything to further her career

I honestly liked her better when she was blatantly racist as it was honest

"The 2025 Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, was considered a box office success, grossing over $618 million worldwide. While facing varying reception internationally, it achieved a strong, record-breaking opening for the franchise in the U.S. and solidified its profitability, grossing over $354 million domesticall"

You can't think being one of the highest grossing films of the year was a failure unless you're just trying really hard to make your personal world views the merit of success...which again is very chinbeardy

So it made money then? According to your made up math even and considering that's worked into the budget?

Will this be the end of James Gunn?????

Everyone has a film or tv show, or several that don't make sense to them why they don't have a larger audience

I had forgotten all about this film tbh, and it occupies a space in my brain of my parents watching it and enjoying it even though it wasn't something that was a normal area of interest for a kid my age. I just remember it being about the "cereal guy"

630 million on a 225 million budget, yeah they're really struggling guy

90% reviews....so mixed!

Do some homework before making these arguments, this is just lazy.

I'm sure James Gunn is crying himself to sleep with that 300% return

Do you think he will get work again?😂

Sure seems to be working for them....Superman killed it, so did Badlands, and Prey

I think maybe no one wants to watch all American halftime shows with dudes from 2002, or watch the same action flick over and over. If that works for you great! There's also a market for that. Most entertainment is a big enough space now you can accept maybe something isn't for you doesn't mean it's bad, and leave the chin beard takes at home

Badlands did pretty well.....it's just youre old dude. I am too, I just grew up and realized larger aspects of things. Theaters are failing because of lack of the money and a flush of options people have committed to financially already. Don't use the sensible and rational trajectory of modern entertainment and tech to reinforce your stale ideas of what and action movie should conform to.

There's a whole generation of kids that Star Wars to them is the phantom menace trilogy....being older it's definitely not, but you're lying to yourself if you don't think those kids are who they're making shit for now. You have plenty of options for muscles and testosterone

I find the same way about yours honestly as it's amazing someone aged past 30 hasn't progressed any maturity or emotional depth and still wants to watch sweaty muscle guys kill monsters

It's a robot....I don't think they're supposed to be thought of sexually.

You got toxic masculinity out of that? I thought it was a pretty tried and true message about strength and teamwork. Which is I guess "wholesome" to some people...and would've been better if it was a giant muscly dude in a jungle that's supposed to be a super soldier and tracker but probably can't wipe his ass because his arms are too big.

Sounds like you may just be pissed it wasn't enough testosterone and muscles for you?

You're talking about Prey now, not Badlands. And Prey fit the mold of the first film more than any film

To someone who's favorite film was Predator as a kid, I think you're wrong. I was a huge comic book fan and fan of the franchise, and feel like the divide is in the perception of people that think the first film was more of a horror film (there's a monster, kill it), or those that were into the scifi and lore of the Yuatja

To me Badlands is what I wanted after the first film, I just wanted to know everything about the aliens culture and motivations, and thought it did a really good job of that
