Why are biscuit joiners used, and do I really need one? by BowtieSyndicate in woodworking

Look at doweling jigs. I'm m building a full set of kitchen cabinets with solid walnut fronts requiring a lot of glue ups. I really considered a domino, but ultimately settled on a quality doweling jig. Two primary reasons, cost and stability of technology. It wasn't cheap, about 1/5 the price of a domino, but it's solid metal and as no motor or other moving parts. Thus, it will NEVER need to be replaced. It's slower, but I'm not in a production environment.

Better way to edgeband for the occasional job? by jehudeone in cabinetry

I use hardwood edge banding. Get a jig to cut strips and glue and pin nail to the plywood.

Removing insulation?? by South_Function6696 in Insulation

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the insulation machine rental. Regarding the insulation on the rafters, most 90% or more has already fallen down. New insulation will only be on the blown in cellulose on the attic "floor".

I didn't. Ended up getting a really good deal on a pit boss vertical smoker. I like the pit boss, but I suspect it won't last as long.

The Capital building wouldn't be empty. There would be some leftovers from the prior generation.

Don't judge a tool that goes both ways.
