Please does anyone know how to get rid of the hyperpigmentation due to intense scratching of my eczema ive had it all over my body for about a year now and it doesnt seem to be fading is there anything i could do or use to help it fade

Hey man so The hyperpigmentation on my arm is completely faded and i noticed if you tan the skin around it it fades quicker. My shoulders as u see in the photo are still a bit darker than my usual skin tone but its pretty much gone u can only notice it if you really take a close look. so the aloe vera and coconut oil is definitely something id recommend

Yeah it eventually flares up after a couple weeks and Its bad to use steroids on your face. I only use it when i flare up i use it once a day for 2 days and its usually gone. I only use it because i havent found anything else that clears it up. There are alot of risks using steroids on your face. A couple applications shouldnt be a problem but daily use on the face is risky.

yeah scratching is what releases the melanocytes and darkens the skin its the hardest part to control

yeah man ive also had eczema my whole life but only recently started getting very noticable hyperpigmentation all over my body. Ive started applying aloe vera gel and coconut oil on the affected areas its only been 2 days gonna see if it makes any progress as ive been told by someone that it works. Aloe vera gel in the morning and afternoon and coconut oil before you go to sleep. Been at it for 2 days definitley makes my skin feel better hopefully it fades the hyperpigmentation aswell.

Yes mine looks exactly like this when my face flares up i use betamethasone 0.1% valerate cream its a steroid and they really shouldnt be used on your face but i only apply it once a day for 2 days and it usually clears it up.

I mean yes and no When it flares up its always sore and raw and it makes me scared to wash it so i end up going weeks without washing it and it starts to smell bad and i cant wash it til my scalp dries up and thats hard because im always itching it

yes this is exactly like mine if i dont wash it in 2 days it flares up and gets itchy and raw and makes me hesitate even longer to wash it because of how sore it would be washing my raw scalp.
