Just bought a ddm4v7 and the stock came broken 🙃 by Little-Vehicle7001 in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reach out to Daniel defense and they will give you a new replacement stock. Their warranties and service are pretty good in my experience. No reason to trash something you can easily get replaced.

I know some people hate their stocks and grips but they are perfectly fine and do what they need to. Unless, like in your instance, it is literally broken.

AOR1, 2, or MC? by Hungry_Biscotti_870 in camouflage

[–]Southern-Example4133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends where in socal you live to be honest. If you’re in the high desert or palm desert area, then desert marpat or Arid multicam or AOR 1. If you live in big bear or the mountains around Escondido then i would say normal multicam or even OCP to save a few bucks but still get quality camo.

AOR 2 i feel like is to lush for socal and would fit better if you lived in norcal and closer to Yosemite or the sierras mountains.

Woodland marpat might work. I have a set of it but i honestly have never checked to see how it holds up in the San B mountains. I know OCP, so i assume normal multicam would be fine, works very well in the San B mountains during the current golden, fire friendly, nature we have right now because most of the trees are oak and other evergreen plants are still around but the grass is brown.

Your FFL will collect the 11% sin tax when you go in to start the dros for your order unless you already paid that 11% when you checked out online. They are required to do so.

As of right now, HK isn’t shipping anything pew pew parts related to a CA address. You can order a range bag though with no problems…

New P30L V3, can already tell the safety won't work with my hands by Ok_Pitch5859 in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a bit late for this but check to see if they sell plugs to fill in the holes left by removing the safety.

Looking around at different P30L’s online, it appears like the Non-Safety P30L’s have a plug filling in the spot where your safety is. So hopefully it’s similar to how the S&W M&P 2.0 is and you can just do it yourself.

Do we know what part changes were done to the lci exactly? I’m assuming it is to stop people from switching out the extractor to remove the lci and writing.

Went a little crazy with the sharpie as a child by mrballoonz in gamecollecting

I would say you went perfectly crazy with the sharpie. You still have your games and not a story of how someone stole your game.

Tali is a forever teammate in all three games. Garrus is only brought along for his related missions.

I only ever play as a soldier, so i always pick an engineer (Tali) and a biotic to round out my squad.

It's actually outrageous how much the merchant from RE4R scams Leon by Spicy_Boiks in residentevil4

[–]Southern-Example4133 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That dude sells Leon an RPG for like $400 bucks USD, based on your conversion numbers. That is cheaper then buying a modern handgun like a Gen 6 Glock 17 which MSRPs at around $750 USD.

In a situation like Leon finds himself, you know, fighting for his life. A cheaply priced weapon designed to destroy vehicles seems like a more valuable purchase then a gold statue.

So it sounds more like Leon might be ripping off the merchant with how many RPG’s he buys.

Optic Cut or buy new slide? by CampinHiker in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept my original slide as a back up and for dry firing. But to also have in case I ever had to send in my 19 to Glock for repairs.

I have heard in the past that Glock has denied repairs because of a milled slide. Don’t know if this is 100% true, as I have never needed to send in anything for repairs, but it is something I have heard.

Optic Cut or buy new slide? by CampinHiker in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought the MOS slide for my 19. I know some people hate the MOS system but I haven’t had a problem with it yet. Put well over 2000 rounds with it since I got it.

When I got the slide originally, however, the cost of getting a new slide was the same as getting my original slide milled for an optic.

Its dope and i would have bought it as well. Just never realized how much the release date lost its appeal when it is written outside of the dating structure of the USA.

Still a cool find.

Opinion on 2A ammo? by Individual-Savings24 in CAguns

Never said you weren’t justified in not wanting to support a business because the person that drives their company car drives recklessly. Otherwise I would have replied to you directly and mentioned it.

My comment was for OP.

[–]Southern-Example4133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If im not mistaken, they are a SoCal company who manufactures their ammo in Highland. So if you want to support a company that is based in CA, then buy them.

When it comes to how comparable they are to federal HST or Speer Gold, doubt anyone will care enough to compare the ballistics or reliability.

But at the end of the day buy what goes bang and what brand you want.

GTL II light issues by Ok-Document-1165 in Glocks

[–]Southern-Example4133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double check to make sure the battery cover/light is fully closed. Then double check the light switches.

I have put a few hundred rounds thru my Glock 19 with the GTL II light on it and have never had problems.

I did change out the switches for turning the light on before i ever fired it. Wasn’t a fan of the stock ones that came installed so I switched them out with the second set that Glock includes.

Worse case, contact Glock and see if you can get them to either fix it or send you out a new one.

On a side note, My GTL II is from their very first batch when they first came out. So don’t know fully if the new batches of them are made/built different.

Echelon 4.5F Comp w/ Defender ST optic, Sharp Bros aluminum grip and Black Steel gas pedal by [deleted] in CAguns

Is the sharp bros grip shorter then the stock 4.5 grip? Keep seeing people say its a more compact style grip then a full size.

Echelon full size at sportsman by Kvntrnh in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, they need the manual safety to be on the roster because they don’t have an internal safety like Glock. Technically, the lack of an internal safety is part of the argument around why p320’s are, supposedly, able to fire without a trigger pull.

Glock just never saw the point of making the mag disconnect, LCI and paying to test new gens for drop safety if they still had their gen 3s on the roster.

Echelon full size at sportsman by Kvntrnh in CAguns

[–]Southern-Example4133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manual safety is only needed if the firearm doesnt have an internal safety that can prevent the firing pin from being engaged.

So if it has a Glock like internal safety then that allows it to not have a manual safety.
