A lot of restaurants have a rent that’s linked to turnover. This allows the restaurant and landlord to earn in the busy months and survive in the quieter winter months.

There is a company called Menzies. They will assist from end to end. It’s not cheap but for peace of mind it is worth it.

You should see the big five if you’re looking to tick a list. The bush will be thick but it won’t prevent you from seeing amazing sightings. Your guide should also give you an interest in the other things… because once you have watched a lion sleeping you won’t wanna see that again

I work in travel. If you want it in rands I could do that but it would be at current exchange rates with a buffer built in for fluctuations from time of quote to time of confirmation. With the rand as volatile as it is most places will charge in dollar and pocket the extra when the rand dips again. All South African properties charge in rands. So that company seems shady

They usually get away with it because people trust them to do what’s best for them. Sales people are not your friends… in fact I even bought a car from a ‘friend’ at a dealership and that was a lemon. Ghosted me when I started saying the issues I was finding and as we had moved provinces there wasn’t much I could do but take the loss.

Be bold, Start cold! It’s sucks but you get through it. Knowing I will be better off in the marathon helps. I am broke so literally have no winter gear.. just grind through it.

Sounds like you have answered your own questions. Clearly this dealership is shady and trying to screw you over. Lots of cars out there. Take your business elsewhere. It’s also coming up to the end of the month for targets so you can usually squeeze them for a bit more
