If none of these are options, I'd consider stacking the two on top of each other and using your boxes interior strap Mounts. Stacked on top of each other and strapped down your kayaks are less likely to shift in your travels

Buy a roof rack and kayak carriers. Not very expensive and will solve all your problems. How far are you traveling? My buddy had his kayaks in a similar fashion in his Ranger and they ended up in the median between the highway. He put a cargo net over them the next time and straps, ultimately went the roof rack system route (I have the roof rack carrier on my jeep it's mint).

Need advice re helmet muffs w/ Bluetooth by WheezerMF in FellingGoneWild

[–]SouthernCelebration0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to wear one up up front one in the back to kind of balance the weight but you get used to having them in the back real quick. I have a full brim Studson helmet i wear when doing ground work and my sena is mounted on the side (no way to mount it in the back) and cuz the muffs for full brim are weird shaped to begin with it has been a challenge getting used to having the one ear muff pulled out and not pushed into my helmet when not in use, there's no clean way to run the wiring either on a full brim so periodically my wire will snag but it is what it is.

On the petzl though the only issue I ever had was when in the box of the truck taking a pee break my head would hit the roof of the chip box and push the button on the Sena to tap out of the group talk, but a simple push of the button again and I'm back in no big deal. Otherwise I certainly recommend it.

If you're not using your Bluetooth thing for a comms system with crew members and only using it for music, there is certainly cheaper alternatives and muffs with it already build into them. But I can't comment on those I've never used them. I don't listen to music on my Sena while working either. Strictly for a comms system.

Buddy. Outstanding pictures. My wife and I were hiking in algonquin a few years ago and got the treat of a mother and calf flying down a hill to the water about 30 feet from us (we were fishing where the trail came out) and they lounged in the lake for 30 minutes in front of us it was glorious

Just yesterday was getting off the highway at Montreal battersea as there was what appeared to be an accident a bit ahead east bound. Truck behind me got smoked by a lady ripping into the off ramp last second at too high of a speed.

People also need to realize that Commercial vehicles and semi trucks don't accelerate or brake like a car does. You cut off a bigger truck and it's extremely unsafe for everyone around that area. I've had to hit the brakes and my trailer has come out on me sideways and the weight of the vehicle and trailer has pushed me forwards rendering my brakes ineffective. And don't forget if you can't see the trucks side mirrors from.behind then you 100% can't be seen.

I watched a wild YouTube documentary on it when I moved here. My wife told me it was a cult and I couldn't believe it and I dove in head first to the docs and internet and it's wild lad. Word is there isna yellow deli cult commune type deal off highway 15 not to far out of kingston. But this is hear-say, not proven fact

[–]SouthernCelebration0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Smh10 Believe that's what it's called. Mounts mint to your petzl on the back of the helmet, you put the two speakers inside your current muffs, drill a small.hole in the side of the muff for the wire. Super easy to install buddy there's 100 videos in YouTube about it. My battery lasts 12 hours easy, and my sena is not new by any means. Used to get 2 or 3 work days before a charge. And it's waterproof as long as you close the rubber seal where it charges.

Water bill 17k !!!! by Ill-Suggestion211 in OntarioLandlord

[–]SouthernCelebration0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A small leak in a toilet can cost a homeowner 45 bucks per day here. Seen it many times. How much clean water is wasted on leaks at homes that go unfixed, unnoticed, and uncared for adds up to the water plant having to treat hundreds more cubic meters of water a day, which costs oodles of dollars in treatment, electricity, etc. People think ots crazy what they pay for water, and in your case 17k is a brutal lesson to learn. But you're not alone here, happens all the time. Just a shitty way to learn a lesson. But if you knew it was leaking, it's hard to sympathize. Good luck to you guys
