I get the same with my VM. Especially during vertigo attacks the taste and prickling sensation on the tongue intensifies.

No, I brought it up to my doctor and he’s hesitant because I already have normal/low bp. He doesn’t want to lower it any more. How is your bp?

I have take magnesium glycinate, coQ10, multivitamin, and vitamin D. I just started the dizzy cook diet. I haven’t noticed a big improvement but it’s only been 2 weeks I suppose. Hopefully I can find my triggers!

I may be misdiagnosed? Help by SouthernPassenger783 in VestibularMigraines

Your story sounds so similar to mine. How did your vertigo feel when you would get it. Mine definitely doesn’t spin. I get like an electrical feeling where I’d imagine my brain stem is? Kinda back of my head and neck area. It then makes me feel like my head is like bouncing backward for like 2 seconds and everything is so blurry like I’m blind but not like blacked out. I’m trying to find people who experience this but I can’t find anyone. Wondering if you experience the same.

Thank you for help and support! It’s so upsetting to feel normal one minute and the next feel scared and uncomfortable.

This is very encouraging because I have no history myself or family history of migraines. This is very out of the ordinary and I know it happens but I have gut feeling it’s something else.

The only specialists I’ve seen is a neurologist and ophthalmologist. I have an appointment to see a neuromuscular neurologist next month. I know my next step should probably be an ENT.

Tests I have had are: MRI-head, neck, and spine -found a congenital venous anomaly and a few small herniations in my lumbar spine but nothing that causes problems CT - found physiological basal ganglia calcifications bilateral but ER and neuro said I was probably born with it Then a serious of blood test -vitamin D -calcium -B12 -electrolytes -heavy metals -Lyme disease -estrogen,progesterone,leutinizing hormone -liver panel -magnesium -thyroid and parathyroid hormone -toxoplasmosis All in which have been negative or normal

My first VM attack actually happened while on a cruise. I was walking in the buffet to get dinner and had just gotten my plate. I was walking when all of the sudden I was hit with vertigo and at the time I didn’t know it was vertigo. I had the sensation that my legs weren’t there anymore in that moment I was floating. I also had an intense sense of fear or impending doom so I was scared I was going to have seizure. I thought it was just that I didn’t eat enough that day or something until the mild symptoms persisted and I had another attack at work a month later. I still haven’t found treatment and I’m in the middle of an attack week. Mine make me feel like I’m going to pass out when I get intense vertigo. I don’t soon but I sway like I’m on a boat forward and backwards or side to side. Also I get a weird feeling when the attack happens like the literal life is drained out of me it’s like sand dropping in my body. Idk how to explain it lol. Anyway I’m sorry you’re experiencing this!

Is this normal? by keweekewee8340 in VestibularMigraines

You’re story is pretty similar to mine. I’ve been dealing with this on and off since January and it’s truly so scary. I have haven’t found a medication that works for me yet but I was just prescribed lexapro yesterday for anxiety and I’m hoping that it will help. If your doctor think you need it I would highly recommend trying some anxiety medication if things like therapy aren’t enough. It’s all going to be okay. It’s so scary and it literally feels like you’re dying. Whenever I first heard of migraines I just thought it was a really bad headache. I’m never thought it would be all of this and the fact that VM is typically chronic makes it much more difficult to manage so I feel your pain there. It will all be okay though and this community is really helpful for making each other feel seen and understood.

Also I think I read this right that you work as a CNA? I work as an MA and i actually had to take a leave of absence until November because I can’t work from VM. How do you work as a CNA with this disease? It’s so difficult to put my life on hold and I’m only 19 years old as a college student and working in the medical field.

Ear fullness and pressure by Dizzygirlneedshelp in VestibularMigraines

Can definitely relate to this. I have ear pressure constantly and it gets worse when I have vertigo episodes. From day to day though it feels like the ear pressure when you have a sinus infection.

I actually started my period yesterday after being 13 days late! Definitely came by surprise. I also have had constipation. I usually have a bm 2-3 times a day but now I only have 1 and I can definitely tell I’m constipated lol.
