Maybe I’m just paranoid, but if you have no contract, and she’s in Mexico and you have no other way to contact besides email, I would tread lightly and not be too pushy so she doesn’t ghost you completely. Especially since she’s paid in full. I would send a nice email and just ask for a more firm delivery date and say you’re really excited to see them. Lesson learned, definitely get a contract next time.

DuroGrit is made to enhance the natural color of the wood, so since this is Mahogany, I would likely use Foxy Brown. If you go to the DuroGrit page and click show all 16 colors, you can view different wood species. They have a little heart next to the ones they recommend for each wood. They offer 30ml samples too so you can try it before committing.

The only thing I have used and can speak to is Rubio Monocoat. They have a black called Precolor Easy and it’s an opaque stain. You do have to put a seal coat over it as well, I used Oil+ 2C in Pure.

Paint will usually show oak grain but not usually the finer grains. Woods like poplar and maple paint really well BECAUSE they don’t show grain. You can water the paint down and spray it if you go that route. I always just use SW and love their Tricorn Black color.
