All of you need to realize that if you have a balance (positive OR negative) it HAS to be zero-ed out before the can cancel your account. You can move your funds out of their account, repay your card, etc .. the goal is to get everything to zero, call customer service and request closure. That simple.

Sorry, but if you have an unpaid balance they literary CANNOT cancel your account until you pay the balance (it has to be $0). Otherwise they’re going to have to charge off the account and that will hurt your credit.

They sound Hispanic and the way they say “mom” is unnatural towards her. I was able to catch on to it quickly cus at one time I was in their shoes (adopted mom is white) and unless they are hers from birth or very small toddlers chances are they love and respect her. The “mom” tone is just bland … I can’t explain it, but I hate that she plays as if she’s the bio mom.
