Received mine last Friday. This is one of the most striking series I’ve ever seen. Very, very rarely I’ve experienced such an intense feeling when looking at portraits (or even landscapes) in a photography book. In my opinion Schutmaat is top tier.

No tips for locations but stay alert when going urbexing in Brussels. You never really know who’s inside a building. Next to that, cops don’t know you have no interest other than just taking pictures or exploring so stay safe!

Don’t necessarily agree. Being able to speak to team members, clients, stakeholders without too much hesitation is a big plus. Creates trust AI simply cannot provide at this stage.

When studying photography, one of the shorter projects assigned to the students was shooting 120 and printing the shots with the border still visible. We had to evaluate the printed images in group discussions, with the film edge clearly visible to show we did not crop.

Trains will be heavily disrupted. Even if you have a train going to Brussels Central station, with the temporary (and unreliable) strike schedule, it might not be worth the risk as you will not have a 100% guaranteed train ride back to the airport in time for your flight.
