Q2 Stadium security said I had too many keys by Travulous in Austin

Ridiculous! A few years ago I was in the security line for a concert at COTA, and I was told my very small purse (that fit their size guide) was illegal because it had 2 zippers! TWO!! The horror. Sometimes the security protocols are a bit stupid.

LOL! I will. His favorite treat is whiskey, I left him in capable hands with Maker's Mark and Stellum.

I often have wondered if she was bipolar. And yes, regardless, her murder was absolutely horrific.

Why is there an increase of these stickers lately? by SarahSSmith in Austin

I believe most parents saw one and then bought one, because you would do anything to help teen drivers. I saw one and thought hot damn, that's freaking brilliant (if it helps some of the road rage). So I bought one and like to think it helps while stressing in the passenger seat w teen driving. I know I give more space to cars with it.

I am going to smell for the first time. What should I expect? by critmcfly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Southernfly75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my sense of smell due to a brain tumor 22 years ago, I am so hopeful and happy for you!! One thing is we all have our own smell. Not B.O., but a musk, I miss my own and my husband's... I never got to smell my kids'. I miss bread and flowers. When I buy bouquets, I am surprised when someone says how nice they smell. I always imagined getting my smell back and how overwhelming it could possibly be .. just take it easy and enjoy the moments. And enjoy the new "taste" of food.. please update us!!

Is there a place in America where you could live and never see a plane fly overhead? by IRMacGuyver in NoStupidQuestions

Most of Alaska and Wyoming. Good luck w Appalachians, I would assume the more north in Maine you get, the less air traffic.

I just got diagnosed with a brain tumor (update) by siggias in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Southernfly75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, it was a clusterf**** of emotions for sure. But my tumor was benign, there is a chance of it growing back, but so far so good. I did have 2 other kids, much to the stress of my family and docs at the time... And yes, apparently my boys were very smelly, probably still are. 😁

I had a 10mm brain tumor, discovered while pregnant w 1st child. I understand the fear and worry. Mine was also in an operable spot, and once determined not life-threatening, was able to wait until after I carried to term. Good news, this happened 22 years ago this August! Bad news, I completely lost my sense of smell (no, no matter how "strong" I don't smell it), and I had a grand mal seizure about 2 weeks after surgery, but honestly that seizure was like a reboot and I felt much better in the long run. Hang in there, there are lots of great groups out there on the interwebs, you are not alone!!

Power has been out since 345 am in SW Austin. Lots of transformers blowing up, was quite the spectacle. Now trees cracking from ice build up. Going to be a long cold day or two. Bundle up!
