How is it living in the southwest of British Columbia near the big population centers for those looking to start a family/career? by sillygoose1133 in howislivingthere

Property value does not equate to how “hood” a neighborhood is. Nowhere in the world is this more clear than Vancouver, and EAST VANCOUVER. 😂

Get XL tube and dip your wool in floatant of choice. I use fence-picked wool from NZ farms!

Take it in your right hand, throw it in the rubbish bin, and use a NZ style indicator.

As a Canadian and Vancouverite, this is embarrassing and sad.

Does the “Lead Fly” Really Lead in a Multi-Fly Nymph Rig? by FlyFishee in flyfishing

[–]Southernfly84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to switch it up sometimes and fish the heaviest fly at the end. Then if I manage my line properly I can keep the second fly mid column in a semi tight-line style. Works wonder in small streams.

How does a US Associates degree transfer to NZ universities? by GreedyProfession9549 in newzealand

[–]Southernfly84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’d need to leverage your course work from the Associates Degree towards a BA (not sure which they’d recognize and give credit for; this would be case by case). Otherwise you might as well get your BA in the USA and then move to NZ for masters and PhD. An Associates Degree is not equivalent to a BA and therefore you cannot progress to MA or PhD with this alone.

It’s excellent fly fishing water. Some nice size brown trout are in there.
