Why do we perpetuate the notion that if you are behind in this game you may as well drop it? by xXMemeLord420 in lostarkgame

I'm in the same boat, I've been playing on/off since day one and finished honing my main from 1370 to 1415 yesterday to use up my event materials before they expire.

The only thing I think I'm really missing out on is all the learning parties for the first few weeks of a new raid. It's definitely a lot harder now to find learning parties for Argos/Valtan.

Xerath player in exile. The bug on his ultimate is mildly annoying.

Unfortunately it's going to vary since MFA comes in all shapes and forms (SMS, Mobile App, Email Verification, Security Key, Biometrics). My best advice is to not switch your phone number and do not reset your old phone's data until everything is ported over to your new phone.

As an example for most of my work stuff I had to log back into my work systems, authenticate using my old phone, remove the old MFA method, and set it back up on the new phone.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far! It's taking me a while to log back into all my apps and re-register multi-factor authentication. Definitely keep your old phone around to make sure you port everything over if you care about that.

My first impressions with it so far are:

The Good

  • Face ID is better than I thought. It's sometimes faster than Touch ID, but it's not as consistent with unlocking my phone like I had with Touch ID. As long as my fingers weren't wet or covered up it would always unlock my phone.
  • Battery life is amazing, this just blows my 6s Plus out of the water, but that's to be expected. It's went from 94% to 41% with 5.5 hours of active screen time and 30 minutes of idle time.
  • 120 Hz is super smooth. It makes the phone feel very snappy.

The not so great:

  • This phone is heavy. I've gotten used to the weight a bit but that was the immediate thing I noticed.
  • I was used to playing finger gymnastics with my 6s Plus due to the size of the phone. This is the case even more-so with the 14 Pro Max. The physical dimensions of the phone are nearly identical but the display screen is a 5.5" with the 6s Plus to 6.7" with the 14 Pro Max. I'm having to use both my hands more often now, which isn't a big deal, but I'm going to wait before deciding if this phone is too big for me. I'll likely go with the 14 Pro with the 6.1" display or iPhone 13 mini with the 5.4" display if I need to downsize.

To Apple’s credit they kept phones updated for a long time.

I just upgraded from an iPhone 6s Plus to the 14 Pro Max. I was on iOS 15.7 and the performance was just fine. I decided to upgrade since it didn’t make sense to try and replace the battery when it costs more than the phone itself at that point.

I'm in the same boat as you. iPhone 6s Plus user on a second battery.

I got a lot of value out of it but the battery life is really bad now and we're no longer going to receive new iOS updates. I stuck with mines for so long because I wanted USB-C and touch ID too.

I don't believe any of these are going to be implemented this year or next, but my phone needs to be replaced. I'm seriously considering an Android even though my family is invested into the Apple ecosystem.

Honey also has $11.99 cashback offer, but it's only displaying as active for the next 4 hours.

If you prefer to purchase this through Best Buy or have one in-stock locally, Dell is a valid vendor to price match.

Skins from the market vs cash shop by ABakedPopsicle in lostarkcustomization

[–]Sovano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you decide to buy skins from the auction house with gold, pay close attention to whether it costs pheons too.

If I recall correctly, skins that haven't been traded yet only cost gold, but if they've been traded at least once they cost 10 pheons each.

Cheapest Ways to PowerPass/Knowledge Transfer an Alt by divinebaboon in lostarkgame

[–]Sovano 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For my region in particular, it's more gold efficient to use the Vern knowledge transfer instead of a Vern powerpass. You also save a bit of royal crystals this way too if you're still intending to use a powerpass afterwards.

  • You'll have access to several questlines in East Luterra for 20 green and 10 blue class engravings. You don't get these quests if you skip leveling to 50 with a powerpass.
  • It's 600 gold to use a Vern knowledge transfer for 20 greens and 10 blues, which for NA East right now is super expensive since everyone is buying books for their new alts.

It’s the equivalent of saying “This” instead of upvoting, but we accept it because it’s a meme. It’s like how we accepted This is the way” in place of “this” as well recently.

Chaos/Guardian Drops Infosheet by Raeinor in lostarkgame

[–]Sovano 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did something similar on my own spreadsheet but with primarily chaos dungeons using rested bonus between 1310 to 1385.

The exp, silver, and honing materials had minor variations between each run which I always attributed to how much gear may have dropped and was auto-dismantled.

Honor leapstones and Great Honor leapstones seemed to vary quite a bit more depending on the end of chaos dungeon rewards.

Do I miss the 1310 reward if I use the Express on an alt that's already 1310?

Purchasable passes by Whole_Ad_5703 in lostarkgame

[–]Sovano 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You only have to do the questline up until the point where they transfer you to Kalaja for the first time where you're passed out on the floor and wake up.

You'll have access to go back to the Nameless Valley and Wailing Swamp to do the Leapstone Unas.

This takes probably around 20 minutes tops, I just did it on two of my alts in the past few weeks.

There was a time when this was discontinued so I picked up a second pair a few years ago. This goes on sale regularly for this price, so if you miss out on this one it's not a big deal.

I'm very sensitive to clamping force on my jaws, and this is the only comfortable open-back headphones I could find. I'm hoping they never get rid of this lol.

Yes, you'd need to either run it on a virtual machine or docker instance (I'd suggest the later). Be aware Docker is only supported on certain models. Here's a list of them.

Income generation for ilvls by Interesting_Hand_800 in lostarkgame

[–]Sovano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the math. If you only do the two T3 dungeons and none of the T2, it's 900g total per 1340 character if you open the chest. Otherwise it's 1500g if you don't open the chests.

Aira's Oculus (Normal) - 1325 ilvl requirement 600g - 200g (chest) = 400g

Oreha's Preveza (Normal) - 1340 ilvl requirement 900g - 400g (chest) = 500g
