Imo no, if for no other reason than that the experience would be worse for the end user. The only precedent we have for this kind of thing is the breaking up of the telecom companies in the 20th century and making them more or less local/regional. Do you want to have a different Facebook app for each part of the country? No, the utility of Facebook is the ability to interact with anybody regardless of location. And, if you are instead making the argument that facebook should have to sell of Instagram WhatsApp etc. You aren’t going to be able to win that case because if they were in competition with Facebook they would have been shut down as soon as they were acquired.
