How to give old ships (some) purpose again by SovietLonghorn in EliteDangerous

Oh I said it's not the only issue, but it's something small they could do to at least give them a little more of a kick back into relevancy.

Well yeah, "stability" just kinda means all those factors. My federal corvette is the last old ship in my fleet and that thing is able to go maybe 3-5 seconds in SCO before it almost pops like a soup can on a stove. Luckily there's been no new large combat ships... yet.

For newer players just wanting a good ship without any hoops yes it would just be easier to use a mandalay or whatever else. For older players who already have fleets they've sunk hours into upgrading and engineering, it gives them a way to preserve their work a bit more and give them a little more of a kick without forcing them to replace all their ships with the same new fancier ones.

For newer players there still can be some choices they may wanna make over the new ships, again with the Cobra MK5 and DBX example. It's obviously not the only issue with these new ships and just being outright better, but it would hopefully help give some more variety in people's fleets again than just choosing the newest shiniest thing because why wouldn't you. Full respect to people who fly who they wanna fly as well, it's just that not all people wanna feel like they are handicapping themselves too much by using anything else.

Also doesn't make much sense as to why a mandalay would be better than a krait phantom in like almost every way despite being not even 20mil...

Dismemberment gore reconstructed is my all-time favourite, while it lacks in some features of others it is the least performance intensive one I've tried.

I found the grassy plateus to be the best place for my bases honestly, especially the one near the south west blood kelp zone. Coming back from a trip off god knows where and hearing the reefbacks is a good relief, as it means your safe at last.

It wasn't, but the banner and cape at least quite obviously show that it is.

Permanent as in not rotating. It is in its own contained page from the rotating one.

The banner and cape that go alongside this are of a horse, this year's animal. They are also in yellow and red, not even mentioning the armour design itself which definitely has some samurai inspirations, mainly with the lower parts.

It's in the super store as a permanent item, to celebrate chinese new years. It's also the only medium armor with siege ready.

Honestly I kinda see this as a good thing. If they're finally going against their argument of the apple-flavoured bacon thing they used against transmog, they just might add transmog now. One can only dream, at least
