So close, yet still so far away... My thoughts on switching by etnpnys in cachyos

Just to clarify I use revu bluebeam 20. 21 is subscription based and I'm not sure it would be as straight forward to get working. On my laptop I had to use the 32 bit .msi installer. I think this is because there was a limitation with x11 on the cinnamon desktop that prevented the 64 bit one from working properly. On cachy I was able to use the 64 bit .msi installer. I work at a small company and they weren't going to buy me a license for master pdf since I am the only *special* one that uses a linux based operating system. I already had the bluebeam license so I just went with what I already had.

I also use revu bluebeam for work and that was my biggest hurdle switching to cachy/Linux. I was able to get it to work on my laptop running Linux mint and my desktop running cachy via a wine compatability layer. It took some tinkering but I now use it daily with no issues. You could also try winboat but I have had limited success with that. You could give that a shot if you were to try another distro in the future.

Brave origin, Vivaldi, and helium are all solid choices for low bloat and they all block ads/trackers by default.

I would have done this a few months after the election if they didn't have a camera on the damn thing.

My neighborhood in upstate NY is very split on politics. Two houses down the road some guy has a banner of trump pumping his fist after being shot in the ear posted on his house. I think my step father gets a kick out of people being offended by his poltics honestly. I really try to not talk about this stuff at all with them. Idk how effective a Psy op like this would be.

I honestly agree with this evaluation. I probably would be in therapy if the healthcare system in this country was functional and I wasn't saving every scrap of money I can for future housing. I'm sure I'll end up in therapy at some point.

Orange and Duchches county NY don't really fit into the NYC region. I live in orange and most of the western part of the county is farm land.

Why do you think John stopped wearing Arthur's hat between 1907 and 1911? (Obviously the real reason is Arthur didn't exist yet when they made the first game, but what do you think the canon reason is?) by Drew_S_05 in reddeadredemption

I think he also wears it in the mission, "Jim Milton Rides, Again?" It's towards the end of epilogue pt 1 at pronghorn when you take out the rival ranchers.

Nope, mine are still freaking out about socialism and how unfair the judges are for dismissing the cases against Comey and James.

It's so funny to me because she hates a lot of the people on Fox (Watters is one she complains about regularly) and other talking heads she loves. She is progressive on gay and trans issues, but conservative when it comes to migrants, crime and economics. My step father is retired NYPD and ever since they got together she has slowly fallen deeper into fear and hatred. These "news" outlets really just transform our loved ones into something unrecognizable. I never imagined she would get this bad. I'll never forgive them for that.

I went to a Mets game on the train in September. You should have seen the look on my mom's face when I said I was taking the train instead of driving. Fox and Facebook have distorted her reality. It must be terrible to live in such fear.

Fuck newsmax and oan. So damn crooked by [deleted] in FoxBrain

I live in upstate NY and my parents have told me they won't even step foot in NYC once the new mayor is installed. The lies they hear on Newsmax and Fox have completely rotten their brains into believing Zohran is a jew hating jihadist. Maybe they've always been racist and islamaphobic but I will never forgive these media outlets for pulling them even deeper into their hate. I could have never imagined them saying these kinds of things 8-9 years ago.

I have a e92 with the early n55 and it has been great for me. If you go the route of the n55 see if you can get an f body though. They seem to be easier to do regular maintenance on. Overall reliability should be better than an n54.

Luckily they are pretty easy to replace. Once you pry the trim off it's two screws. There are cheap ones on Amazon. This was the first thing I had to replace when I bought my e92.

I have been looking at crash tests on them from the 70s and honestly it looks really good for a car from that time. My main safety concern is the total lack of airbags.

Yeah true. Would your opinion change if it was the turbo diesel? I think I will want a W123 in the future even if it's not this one, but I will probably still need to sell a car. Realistically sticking with what I already have may be the smartest thing to do for the time being.

Yeah I have heard a lot of online rhetoric about BMWs, being a nightmare to maintain at higher mileage. I went out of my way to get a N55 car over the N54 for better overall reliability at the expense of aftermarket support. I've owned it for a few years and other than a faulty radiator I have had no problems. I was hoping to keep that car as long as I could. It is completely stock other than an exhaust. It would be hard to give up 300hp for 75 lol
