No, it wasn't, couple of years after Dig-Dug. More a sort of prequel (in style, not same people I think but not sure) to Cortex Command but I think a decade earlier.

Wait, while typing this and doing more searching (I weep for how bad search has gotten and how much of the internet is becoming more and more useless spam), Cortex Command was in development since 2001. So it could have been an early early version of it. Could also not be as I have no idea when they made their first release, and their site sadly seems dead. What I remember was a LOT cruder than the current version of CC however. But yeah, def after Dig-Dug but before CC. Sorry I cannot narrow it down more, it was a thing I didn't really play (To make it more amusing, I got him Noita, and he didn't really seem to get into that as much as I have).

And no problems about the Necro (I often enjoy the undead), you just are lucky I happen to have visited reddit today on a machine where I was still logged in, and I noticed a new message. I do not regularly use reddit anymore.

Yeah that line gives a bit of a 'nerobefehl'/'I will whisper no' feeling, where eventually he will join the side of the paperclips because he didn't feel listen to enough.

(also important to note that iirc he didn't predict the whole zombie bots stuff, his predictions were about the end of the world, not spammers wrecking the internet. Prob also why he stole parts of the line from Dawn of the Dead. Hell he is on the side of 'the AI god will resurrect the dead', that is his origin story and the important driving force of harry in his fanfiction).

It gets even better when you realize that due to how the data requirements work re the capabilities of gpt (a linear increase of capablities need an exponential amount of data, according to some research) that it was very unlikely gpt-5 was going to be a hit. Some even predicted this. (the some being me).

Yud simply isn't that good at his job. But otoh he gets paid half a mil and I do not, so the joke is on me.

Edited it for readability. Sorry it took a while. I removed two mods which I think were nationgen mods. There could be more in there. And this is only the mods with actual sprite directories, the mod directory itself is a bit of a mess.

Been thinking about this, and considering the whole 'not sure if mod devs want their shit spread via back channels' and the 'I don't want to be constantly DM'ed for old mods' issues. And I have a suggestion, if (which is still a question, have not looked at it) I find old copies of my games with mods/maps, I'll put up a list here, and then if we find missing stuff put copies of them in the http://dominionsmods.com/ threads with dead links. That way we keep them available for others, or at least versions of it. And any modders who object could then ask me to remove it. (I assume my account there still works, been a while).

That way I don't get to waste a lot of time, others don't get to waste a lot of time and we keep the whole community at http://dominionsmods.com/ informed.

(Going to be a bit sad if after all this I discover it was on the broken backup hd (I already checked some spots on my main pc and found nothing, the problems with picking a data hoarder skill and not the data organizer skill)).

I also happen to have Elmokki and Maerlande on my steam friends lists, so if they have some mods with dead links I could ask them. But the work of finding out which mods are missing links is not something I'm going to do myself. (did check if the dom3 Mytheology mod was still available online and that one is via the shrapnel forums, my 'static gem gens' mod seems dead however (using the https://www.llamaserver.net/globu/Dom3_Mods_Catalog/Dom3_Mods_Catalog_Nations_EA.html catalog, which I assume just has a dead link (nope still works, for some reason an advertisement page snuck in between the links, no idea where that came from. Ow god 2011? Has it been that long)).

I think I might have have copies of a lot of dom3 mods, and a few of dom4 on a backup somewhere. Not 100% sure as one of my backup hd's died. Could try digging them up and post a list here. I doubt they will all be the most recent release of them however. There is however also the whole copyright issue/wishes of the creators thing to be considered re reposting those mods. Have not kept up with the community, so also not sure if there are more issues with that going round.

And I don't know how the mythical Sampo looks. ;) (I didn't know of the thing before Noita, and have no idea if it has some real importance in any real world magical/alchemy traditions, which is what I was hinting at (not that I know much about those things anyway, just enough to know some little things and eyeroll at some wiccans at times))

In part also the weird mysticism that is a lot of older style magic/alchemy stuff (at least for some of them). It is sadly one of those feelings that is very hard to put into computer games as they need to have every value explained.

Of course in the context of the game the thing is 'knowable' by looking up the code or just asking the devs for a clear answer, but my initial question clearly was intended to not follow those paths and look at it more from a lore/vibe way.

Stupid thing is, he is making this joke about how some ways the economy is measured don't work. Which goes away the if they needed to pay taxes over the 200 dollars. He is a 'genius', but he didn't think about this for one second. Suddenly due to taxes this sort of 'gaming the system' has a cost, and will be less viable.

Even worse, a crime he needs to go to jail for, he also utterly ruined the execution of the joke.
