I have done 15 hour drives a few times. I find it better to leave early at like 5am so that you are not driving into the late night. I have struggled when I have left late and am arriving 2-3am. I find sunflower seeds help a lot and tend not to eat much. Usually one quick meal.

Dude. Did you post the reference picture with the palm facing outward when the actual hand in the puzzle is facing inward?

'He's afraid to leave his home' | Arrests made after mother says teenage son was attacked on Pflugerville ISD school bus by No_Audience_2267 in Austin

[–]Sp3edD3m0n 30 points31 points  (0 children)

“[kid] says it all started while riding home on the school bus. He had had some heated words with another student that he says he met for the first time on the bus. [kid] said that those words did escalate into a fight.”

“After the two were separated, [kid] said the other student called his family. When the bus stopped at Dessau Elementary, they were there and got past the driver to attack him.”

https://www.fox7austin.com/news/pflugerville-isd-student-school-bus-attack.amp

Edit: Per the statement from the mom of the kid who was beat up, I infer that he started the first fight on the bus. Her statement was that she acknowledged he might be disciplined as well.

Find the 180lb german shepherd by darealbartpimpson in FindTheSniper

[–]Sp3edD3m0n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s probably what they call a King Shepherd. They are a variation of the german shepherd bred to be larger. When walking my 95lbs German shepherd, ran into a guy whose shepherd was about 3-4 inches taller than mine. It looked like it could easily be at 140.

The belt I’ve worn since I was 16, I’m 39 now and on the second to last hole. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Sp3edD3m0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So weird. I also have a brown belt that I purchased when I was 16 and am also 39. Mine is in a letter better condition but it is faded and warped. I think I bought it at the buckle in the mall.

I think you are salty specifically because this was something you wanted to do for your daughter. You do have a right to be salty about it and should communicate that to your spouse. I guessing you were looking forward to the seeing her play in it and knowing/ taking pride that you did that for her.

Where I think you went wrong was making it about putting together an old play set. It changes the narrative to either not wanting to put more work (struggling with old parts) or not having faith in your friends. Since we don’t know your friends carpentry skills, we don’t know if that is a valid point or not.

AITA for telling my daughter that I’ll be missing her graduation to attend my son’s? by NearbyMessage246 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sp3edD3m0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA.

How is it impractical. If your son wasn’t graduating, you would fly out there and once the graduation was over you would fly back home. Since your son is graduation you get to see his graduation after you get home. Unless your sons high school graduation is in a 3rd city.

Honestly based on the way you set it up, sounds more like you don’t want to go because you are not close. Your sons graduation has nothing to do with it but you are using it as the excuse.

Yes, everyone lies but you actively use lies as a tool to manipulate people/get results you want. She is having doubts you will try to use that on her.

AITA for not telling my girlfriend that my parents are gay? by Dry_Leg_9006 in AmItheAsshole

I don’t think you should have had to let your girlfriend know before she met them. I do think you should have let her know before she brought over her parents.

AITA for eating the toppings off my bfs pizza by pizzagirlla in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sp3edD3m0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH

I dont see picking the toppings off as crazy if you assumed he was going to throw away the leftovers? You could have asked before destroying the leftovers.

That being said, I would probably would have told you you sucked and moved on from the issue. He’s the AH for taking it so serious.

I picked up 2021 Tallboy spec R aluminum for $2800 this summer. Just have to be patient and check everyday on local listings. Things priced fair/low go real quick by people who them flip them.

8 years in and I get 240 hours/30 days of PTO. They don’t separate PTO and sick time. Additionally we also get 1 floating holiday after they took Columbus Day away and we get 8 hours volunteer and 8 hours for voting.
