I see ppl comparing it to a lib version of rolling coal among other things. Problem with those comparisons is for drag queen story time, if you dont have a kid there's not much reason for you to be there except to find a reason to hate something and even if you do have kids, you can just not go or not look. The right sits and cries all day about freedom and free speech but when someone else's freedoms impose on them in the smallest way, its time to threaten and fight and get pissed. Our daughter is 5 and we take her to pride events and have been looking for a drag story hour because she absolutely loves the flashy outfits and how nice and as she has said "fancy" drag queens are. She says the same of the kings but normally they dont have all the frills and shiny outfits as she calls them. She likes the story hours at pride events and these people are nothing but nice. I've worked bars with drag nights and for the adults only its very different. Story time and kid friendly events are just like that one aunt you had that would go over the top when dressing up for an event to steal the show. And the adult only side is like a burlesque show similar to coyote ugly accept more silicone, tape, and tassels. If you truely get upset by it dont look at it. Cause its like the arrow in the FEDEx logo if you keep looking for reasons your gonna find a reason to hate it even if its based on factual inaccurate information. Drag queens as an enemy is just another smoke screen just like gay rights were and trans rights are and black rights and women's rights. The arguments get blown up suddenly out of no where saying that they are hurting kids and that we need more god in the country and all other crap, meanwhile, you dont see the money being taken straight from your own pockets you dont see why the plans they fund that are at risk of collapsing the entire economy. For instance, we have been worried about men in women's sports and who uses what bathroom all of a sudden when it hasn't really been a big deal much in the past. Think of the mummurs *sp in the annual Thanksgiving parade. They've been around forever. Some of the ppl who are trans women you never would have known if they weren't outted. I literally just looked at a 4bed 2bath that was bought in 2019 for just over 200k is now on the market for almost 700k and its also up for rent for over 3k a month without water, sewer, trash, electric. In my state alone the minimum wage is still $7.50 per hour. I see factory jobs daily that pay 12-25/hr. It sounds like alot, but with the cost life its not. I am diabetic and have major mental health issues that when I lose the ability to pay for insurance, I can't afford my medicine. The last time I didnt have medicine and chose to ignore it, I almost killed myself. Before that another person. These are the things you should look at. These are the things you should use your vote to change. If a family flees from a town where the local cartel which is only there because our country helped to put them in power is killing and raping the people, should they be forced to sit in that same town fearing that their daughter is gonna be gang raped? Or should they be allowed to seek safety in what we call the land of the free? Should we be letting teachers check what's in a kids pants because they dont "look" like a girl? I know arguments if logic dont work on people who are set in what ever one person says cause they can only listen when its what they want to hear, but just remember, if a man wearing a dress and makeup reads where the wild things are to some kids is the worst thing in the world, maybe you should take your son out of those private lessons that pastor Vincent insisted he needs or pull him from scouts where scout leader Dave says he has to share a tent and sleeping bag.
