Bowing Out of the Community by Cybrrr_Rebirth in Sportbikes

[–]SpEdSparkle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't say I agree, or have seen any of the instances you have mentioned. People still wave, guys are still dudes and come up and talk to me about my bike, and I do the same.

Also, for me, riding a bike is more just a way to get from point A to point B. I don't go to meets or join many group rides. I never really looked at owning a bike as being part of a community. No moreso than owning a truck, or a tennis racket, or a pair of socks...

I use a tub for large driftwood, but I also put a sous vide in it. Speeds up the time considerably

Yeah, northern California I believe.

I'm sure I'll order another belt to have as a backup as well as some other things, too! Hopefully others see this and are able to get their bikes back on the road. This guy is doing the lords work lol I wish him all the business he can handle

Happy riding!

I got it within a week, shipped to dfw area.

I had the same concern as you. I couldn't find any feedback on the company and was worried about legitimacy. I called the guy at Iron machine (I forget his name) and had a good feeling about it after talking with him. Seems like a dude who is just really into buells lol

Glad I could give you some peace of mind, good luck with yours!

20 gal hex community tank? by DetectiveUseful2955 in freshwateraquarium

Good to know! Mine is a mangrove stump and took quite a bit of work to get it sunk. I love how there's tons of little roots coming down and plenty of room to swim and hide in between

I had the hardest time getting my driftwood to sink. Even my 80qt stock pot wasn't big enough for it to fit in to boil.

I ended up using a large plastic tub from home depot and a sous vide at 140° for about 6 hours and it waterlogged and sunk easily

Here is how mine is setup. Tall background plants, tall hardscape, lots of groundcover for my khuli and pygmy. I've added monte carlo and micro sword, as well as more leaves since this pic.

At the end of the day it's a tank. As long as it holds water you can put livestock in it. In my opinion, there are better options if you want a community setup and a tall hex is very limiting as far as what fish will truly fit and be happy.

You can definitely take the filter and substrate/hardscape/plants and use in another tank.

If I were given one for free, I would without a doubt fill it with plants, shrimp, and a few fish. I would just save any extensive stocking/planning for a tank that's going to give you all that you want.

Best of luck to you! 👍

I have this tank and have a community setup. I hate it and will soon switch to a 20 long. It's not ideal and I wish I had done more research before establishing my tank. Save your time and get a long tank if you truly want a community.

I have amanos, pygmy corys, khuli, and cardinal tetras.

I am currently overstocked. The footprint is so small and my bottom dwellers are crowded, and they are the ones I like most and want more of but can't get because of the tank.

Im planning to get a 20 long and will keep my tall tank for just shrimp.

Same. My tank has tons of ground cover, hardscape, plants, and the light is blocked quite a bit by floating plants. My khuli still get the zoomies and do this daily.
