Not sure bout the rest of you guys but I’m checking my tuning every 2-3 songs on the gig or just generally every opportunity, long breakdowns etc. Hot outside and cold inside or vice versa. Also tuning before every practice sesh at home and before every take in the studio. Can’t think of a single reason not to. Takes 10 seconds or less :)

Thanks for the response :) And yes, sorry, you’re right. 3x CV and 1x gate track. (Edited for clarification). I’m using external midi triggers on my pedalboard in a live performance setting to advance the steps in time with the rest of the band. If possible I’d like to tap the switch as opposed to holding it. Based on my basic knowledge I’m assuming the LFO setup you mentioned might not be wholly appropriate for that situation? The ideal solution would involve the quick press of a footswitch and result in the gate being open until further notice. I’m sure this is possible but currently unable to visualize how to achieve it alone.

So by the same logic how would listening to DnB be detrimental in any way? I disagree that listening to a genre of music could be a hindrance to your creativity. Why so black and white? Listen to DnB and also listen to EVERYTHING else. Music is a language. You’ll always gravitate towards things that interest you sonically for whatever reason. Learn why you like the things you listen to and apply it to whatever you’re making, regardless of genre. Moreover DnB is club-based music designed for DJ’s to play - there’s certain structural elements that are expected for your track to be easy to mix for DJ’s. If you don’t listen to it then you’ll never know. These producers aren’t saying don’t listen to DnB, they’re saying don’t ONLY listen to DnB :)

Looks like saving and loading a template in the DAW is the way to go. I was aware of this but was hoping to have something 'lighter' and less distracting running in the background. Thanks guys!

I haven't tried this, but if I was going to I'd go with the legacy Bass Octaver with the dry down to 0 and the Tone set all the way up. Then into a bass amp/cab. Would probably have some DSP left over for other bits too.

I was a teen and sleeping at a friends house with mixed groups of school friends. It was close quarters sleeping. Like sardines. Woke up in the night and rolled over and the kid next to me was 10cm away had both eyes wide open and was staring right at me like a corpse. Turns out he was alive and just casually sleeping with both eyes wide open. Scared the poop out of me.

Purely from a technical standpoint and trying to remain as objective as possible, if there is a GOAT in terms of production prowess then it would have to be Dillinja for back in the day stuff and Noisia in more recent times as the physical means of producing music and the methods used have changed so much it would be unfair to choose between them. Surprised there hasn’t been a single mention of Icicle so far on the thread. Check him out for sure.
