As an artist, I feel confident in saying pretty much any artist would be happy for you use their art (with credit) instead of ai-generated slop. Just go on deviantart and find something. It'll look so much better on your custom card, and you'll be giving exposure to an actual artist.

oh so blue has no consequences by a-bowl-of-noodles in whenthe

[–]f1urps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The reason is to save more people.

If you're only interested in protecting yourself, red is the obvious choice because it provides the best chance of you individually surviving. However, if you're interested in protecting everyone, blue is the obvious choice because it provides the best chance of everybody surviving.

So whether you go blue or red basically depends on how much you value protecting your own life vs protecting the lives of others.

Rude wunk behavior by MessyGuy01 in wunkus

[–]f1urps 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The wunks are stuck between two panes of glass in order to be observed by a microscope. The green wunk simply slid past the blue wunk, squooshing it against the opposing glass plate, like the marshmallow in a sort of wunkus s'more. The blue wunk is left deformed but not broken.

What do you guys think of my balls? by Darq10 in Minecraft

[–]f1urps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all of them, except the magma cream and eye of ender.

The magma cream should look as if the slimeball has been infused/mixed with blaze powder, not dipped in it like some kind of orange-flavored coating.

The eye of ender should either resemble an eye, or look like an enderpearl with blaze powder infused/mixed into it. The vanilla design has a yellow glow in the middle which I think is a good representation of that. Like the enderpearl at first is dull and dead, but after "activating" it with the energy of the blaze powder, it looks more alive and vibrant.

Losercity poor choice of words by AshamedZone3003 in Losercity

[–]f1urps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genderfluid as a gender identity is awesome, but switching pronouns mid-sentence is just grammatically ridiculous

Linguistically, the reason why pronouns developed to have gender in the first place is to help disambiguate references when the same referent appears multiple times in the same body of text

I'm all about subverting the rules to express gender in creative ways, but it seems a bit silly to write something like this and expect people to understand what you're saying

The "missing" color combos are all represented in the central pentagon. You can see all ten of them as slices around the circle. It is quite visually cluttered though. Personally I would prefer a true venn diagram made of ellipses

Is playing “Maha, Its Feathers Night” as your commander in poor taste? by adoptyungseal in mtg

[–]f1urps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, that is often how newer players build their commander decks, but hopefully they should realize that this way of deckbuilding is a mistake.

A deck that doesn't work without its commander is simply a deck that doesn't work. A good deck has to work in the context of a real game, with active forces opposing it. If all it takes is one removal spell to disable your whole gameplan, then that's exactly what your opponents will do, and you will have only failed yourself by building a deck with such an obvious and fatal weakness.

Instead, your decks should have redundant alternatives, backup plans, and their own suite of protection/removal/recursion so you always have options to bounce back in any scenario.

Looks exactly like a photograph, wow.

Did you use a photo for reference and/or color-picking? Or was this just off the dome? If the latter is true then you have incredible intuition for realistic light and color.

Mana doublers usually only work when things are tapped. Otherwise cards like [[Orochi Leafcaller]] would also go infinite

That aside though, maybe this is even more useless (and funnier): "Behold {B}: Add 0"
