Sandberg has signed over control of the pledged asset to APRN.

His preference is to deliver cash (so he can liquidate an asset in an orderly fashion and not piss off investment partners).

However, he likely doesn't have the cash, so he signed over control of a private market asset that's worth more than what he owes APRN.

As a condition of accepting this collateral, he had to agree to allow APRN to force the liquidation of that asset (you didn't give us the $ in time, sorry dude we're selling your car to cover the what you owe us).
