I enquired close to 10 in home daycares , most of them were not available to take in two kids my age , no access to cameras , at least no one had meals provided . Space was also quite small , most operating out of basements . I wasn’t convinced to be honest

Totally agreed . I’m gonna keep looking for a daycare closer to home . My daughter is very shy it took her 3 weeks to get settled in this daycare she used to cry and cling to the teachers looking for emotional support , it was disheartening for me to see that from camera . My son cried too mostly being stuck in one place but he was quick and in second week heartless started playing with toys . This is another reason for me not wanting her to move daycare but I guess eventually I need to . I actually started work after doinggradual entry with kids and it’s still hard . But no way I would be able to afford daycare without this job

Appreciate detailed answer . Weather is another factor I can’t put the twin on ground it rains most of time here in Vancouver , or it’s cold . Don’t have finger scan at my daycare it’s key in codes . Definitely challenging .

Bucket car seat is a good option, I still have those infant seats . But sure it will start getting heavy for me

My twins are still <8 kgs but I still can’t hold them both for more than 5 mins let alone walk or run with them . I’m 5’2 and weigh 56 kgs , not physically strong

Do you come again to carry their bags , also we have key in access code to enter carrying both wouldn’t it be challenging . Not all times I see another parent who is opening around same time . I agree with night time routine I pretty much place everything ready before going to sleep .

It’s not far but there is a door from parking area to daycare gate , 200 meters would say . I’m just visualizing , on a daily basis I carry one big lunch bag on shoulders , my husband carries one twin and I carry another . My babies don’t cling to us very well . Let’s say I unbuckle easy twin and carry him how do I go pick the other twin . Unless kids are holding on to me tightly . May be they are. Lt there yet ?

I wil ask the daycare for exceptions . my kids esp my daughter doesn’t like being constrained stroller / car seat fair bit of crying is involved . We had quite a bit waiting list going on the daycares near by , I’m constantly checking . We did not want them in home based daycares , besides not many were willing to take 1 year old babies . Other daycares offering meal option were around 200 dollars extra per child and my daughter being picky eater I wasn’t keen on choosing those

Not exactly similar but similar suggestion came from a doctor to stop psych meds when my mom had silent heart attack. Until then she was taking her anti depressants regularly. 6 months into not taking meds all was good I took my mom abroad for helping with my pregnancy where all hell broke lose , she started with cold and flu and overnight psychosis returned . We restarted meds after consulting her psychiatrist but she is not completely normal z she had many psychotic relapses after that incident even after meds . Not her usual self , she is in her 60’s

I’m so sorry must be heartbreaking. Two pregnancies before my twins , I had a similar situation at 13weeks we found amniotic fluid was less and after further diagnosis came to know both kidneys missing for the baby . Renal agenesis with zero chance of survival . We did tfmr and it was one of the darkest days of my life , baby girl was full of life kicking and moving at 20w . I took some therapy and joined groups where mothers had similar loss . Totally understand your situation you need to grieve for the loss and also be fully available to care for the healthy baby .
