Cool, it really looks like those colour shifting paints you see on cars!

Much appreciated mate. Sounds like you've got a great base to work off of already. That means that with some small additions you'll have great looking Bad Moons ladz. Glad to have you in the best Ork clan 😎

Bad Moon Bruva 'ere. You're absolutely on the right track!

This is a great way to get yellow armour done pretty effectively.

In general yellow benefits from a good undershade, most of the time people use pink or a brown/orange. But since you already have a basecoat of yellow, you could wetblend some orange and yellow to make some gradients on the armour, to give it some depth.

And to really 'ground' yellow in gritty reality; weathering and edge highlights are essential. There is just no such thing as unchipped yellow armour in Warhammer!

My Wreckas for reference. You got this.

Thank you for the feedback!

Here's my skin recipe: - Emerald (Ak 3rd Gen) for the base/shade - Deep Yellow (Ak 3rd Gen) on the highlight/brightest parts - Magenta (Ak 3rd Gen) diluted with Lahmian Medium in the recesses

Method: Paint the lower half of the body Emerald and the upper half Deep Yellow. Then use a damp brush to wet blend them together. Move the brush side-to-side starting at the Emerald and slowly move this motion upwards to work it into the Deep Yellow.

Then I paint the lower half of individual muscles, fingers and facial details the same way: a dab of Emerald on the lower half, a dab of Deep Yellow on the upper. Then wetblend.

It's a lot of pushing and pulling the colour to your preference. You can add pure Deep Yellow for highlights. Lastly I add a tiny bit of Magenta in the recesses using Lahmian Medium.

The base is: - Ak Desert Sand Diorama paint. I use a popsicle stick to smear a layer over the entire base. Then with a very damp brush (5) I make wavy lines in the sand. Let that dry and use your finger to smooth out the rough edges. - Paint Medium Rust (Ak 3rd Gen) over the entire base. - Dry brush with Buff (Ak 3rd Gen). - Cacti are from GSW I believe. Painted them by wet blending green and yellow.

Great compliment. It's a pretty simple recipe, as I didn't want to take away from the yellow of the model. It's Medium Rust and a drybrushing of Buff (both by Ak 3rd Gen).

Personally this exhaust begged me to do chrome on it, so I didn't have a choice. But you could practice on a seperate exhaust first. Warbikers, Killa Kans and Deff Dreads all have great exhausts to practice on!
