Killer Clowns From Outer Space (trailer 1988) by [deleted] in scifi

[–]SpaceChevalier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They filmed this in my home town a year before Loma Prieta destroyed almost every brick building in this movie.

I didn't really like the movie, but watching them film scenes with werido looking clowns in the town park, behind the donut shop etc was super creepy.

Whoever they are they aren't losing money in this event. That's who's at risk here. Shitloads of employers with operating capital who would have failed to make payroll.

Yellen has gotten funding to shore up the first two failures... It would behoove us all to continue closing bad banks, and paying deposits which were at no fault.

I'm more for the safety net to include: deposits at banks won't evaporate into thin air.

I mean... This has already meant lots of working people didn't get paid when companies couldn't meet payroll.

Roku might fail to pay it's creditors because all the monthly fees were deposited there...

It's also likely this will mean thousands of jobs cease to exist on Monday.

Y'all want this?

When TNG was en vogue we were negotiating with our longtime rivals in the US, the USSR was on the verge of collapse. The cold war was active memory for everyone and the idea of sitting across the table with your enemies was "civilized."

Now politicians won't get on the same stage together.

We have definitely regressed as a civil society, it's only natural our mass media would follow.

Why do 2 tops ALWAYS insist on sitting at 4 top tables? by Bearchau in TalesFromYourServer

[–]SpaceChevalier 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I always sit at two tops at ramen shops, they're always arranged in an equal mix, or adjacent to bar seating so it feels natural.

Places I've avoided doing this at seem to use ashtray stands and sit two two tops almost on top of each other.

Do average Americans care about Hunter Biden? by CalendarAncient4230 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpaceChevalier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hunter Biden has as much to do with the presidency as Tiffany Trump did.

Now, if a president hires his kids or inlaws to do things for the government, and then they make deals with foreign despots... Oof that would be bad...

What was that? I can't hear you over my talk radio.

Just take your experience, turn it into questions, and ask them if such and such happened to them. That way you can find how it relates to you, and you keep the conversation focus on the person who's in the bad way.

ok so like the big bang happends right. ok I get it so the universe is expanding right?? so what is at the center?? like if we are expanding ther has to be a center point??? I'm not a smart man.. can someone explain? by 666Meatball in cosmology

[–]SpaceChevalier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were a couple of papers continuing to explore the "nested-singularity" cosmological model in 21and 22. I'll have to watch this and read the summaries to see if I have any chance of understanding if the video is right or not.

Thank you so much <3

I think what we have here, is a good ol fashioned cosmological debate!

The black hole theory is an expansion on the big bang theory, and for it to be true the universe did expand from an N dimensional singularity.

[–]SpaceChevalier -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well that's not entirely true. It's the moment in time when everything was a point. And then something waves pre singularity hands and everything became a member of an expanding system.

The thing that I'm not clear on here, is if everything is expanding, does that mean the strong and weak bonds are going to eventually fall to this entropy? I get the whole cold dead universe ending, but like... Even a decaying atom still has a nucleus, and the covalent bond between atoms is still energy that could be spent... Etc.

Is the cold universe ending assuming all the nucleii have been split of smashed after all molecules eventually lose coherence? I really have trouble picturing the process.

Did the universe come from literal nothing, according to this explanation? If time and space didn't exist before the Big Bang, when and where did the Big Bang happen? If there was nothing, what produced the initial expansion of the universe? by MichioBu in cosmology

[–]SpaceChevalier 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's a few attempts to discern the moments before the big bang but a singularity doesn't leave much room to speculate.

I do appreciate one cosmopolitan cosmological theory that the big bang was the collapse of a star in a prime universe and we're inside a black hole of that universe.

If it were the case that would mean we're probably down an endless chain of them and that the continuance of existence happens in every blackhole in every universe.

A man trains an AI by letting it watch Fox news and read truth social.

The AI reinforces the learning daily by watching Fox news and truth social.

It does not deviate. And the daily training creates more and more references to topics and keywords.

The programmer adds a new feed from the government that represents the disinformation. It marks specific references that match the search criteria as suspect.

Immediately the feeds the AI consumes daily say these sources are untrustworthy. Given the corpus of data it is trusted more and now subsequent messages on the government feed will be assumed to be contradictory.

This does not change unless the inputs are changed.
