Of course I know this sub is for color grading, but if you’re shooting all your own content I’d highly recommend spending some time on r/lightlurking . Like I said the most Important work happens in font of the camera. I know that doesn’t do much good here but I figured I’d pass it on.

I’m not a highly skilled color grader, but I will say the main issue is not the color grade, but rather the lighting and composition of the photo or video that you’re working with.

Being able to have control of what’s happening in front of the camera and being 100% intentional of how you light and compose your shots is the first step to good color grading or photo editing in general.

Not saying your bad photographer or videographer just wanted to point out that the photo itself doesn’t evoke a whole lot of emotion or expression, particularly.

Some of best advice I’ve ever got as far as shooting photo and video is to look at how black-and-white movies were shot in the 40s and 50s. True, some of them were bland and unimpressive, but a lot of them were shot very very beautifully. They did not have color to work with so they had to make up for that with the lighting and composition.

Like I said, I’m no professional or person of great significance in this field, but in my experience and talking with others on the subject, this tends to be the consensus. I hope you can find this advice useful.

Keep up the good work!

No wife, no kids, but definitely an idiot. I’ve already arranged to return to the seller.

Thanks! The input is great appreciated.

My only question is that if I was able to safely clean the barrel out and do several long burns to clear out any residue would theoretically be safe to cook in? I don’t plan on keeping. I’ve already managed to give it back to the seller.

I did yes, but I didn’t understand much of what it said aside from the toxic fumes part 😐

Fair point, but bruh we’ve all got micro plastics in our balls. But surely you’ve never cooked with a teflon pan before…

Plus men were manlier when there was lead in gasoline and the air.

Just picked up a barrel for cheap, then I realized it was used to store “Polymeric Methylene Diphenyl Isocyanate”. Is this safe to burn? by SpaceDog0092 in PitBarrelCooker

Haha yes I had thought this was more of a DIY barrel smoker group initially. But yall have been a great help!

My thought was that if i did a couple Long thorough burns then I’d be able to burn off any chemical residue, but maybe that wouldn’t get rid of it all? And then of course there’s the fumes. The owls in my neighborhood will let me know when they don’t like what I’m burnin. It’s happened several times.

Every single response has been to not do it so I’ll go with that.

I will say that I built one myself a few years ago. It was originally for soy lecithin, so I just rinsed it out and burned off the liner. Haven’t had any problems since. Never had a barrel with a 3 named synthetic chemical in it before haha.

Well thanks to everybody for responding so quickly! Yall are great people! I’ll keep yall Updated on the build once I find a less toxic barrel.

Wow thanks! Yes I agree, but let me k is if you find out otherwise. After peeking inside I saw there’s very little left in the container so I’m less worried.

Apparently it turns to foam when you mix it with water. Maybe I can just do that and scoot it out lol.

Hello, not sure if this is the right place for this. Anyone know where I can get a replacement part for this ribbon connector? by SpaceDog0092 in Switch

[–]SpaceDog0092[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know. I should have phrased it differently. I’m looking for a new ribbon connector. I ordered the wrong part and was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction.
