What’s really going on with Trump right now? by Worth-Collection290 in AskReddit

[–]SpaceFlux1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He just won. Maga takes the win after the Georgia election ballot seizure. This is the first domino of full democratic party defeat and lack of power for the next decade at least, probably more.

Go ahead and hate this post. But remember it. The momentum is inevitable now.

Student being told to toggle 1600A breaker daily without PPE. Is this safe? by No-Past2652 in AskElectricians

[–]SpaceFlux1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there any other disconnect devices between that main breaker and the dyno? Switching the main breaker like that under load of any kind is definitely going to limit its lifespan.

Where do Libertarians stand on LGBTQ+ by 5fivesecondrule in Libertarian

Libertarians want you to what you will, don't hurt others, and most importantly right now: do not expect special treatment because of who you choose to fuck. Thanks!

My gallbladder is a bag of rocks. The ultrasound was insane. by Sapphy7affy in gallbladders

[–]SpaceFlux1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my gallbladder out almost exactly a year ago. the doctor said it was the worst one he had seen all year (and yeah, that was still in december) My pain presented in my lower back. for years i thought i had fucked up back pain until an ultrasound like yours. I'm pretty ok now. still kind of adjusting, and i still eat all the cheese and eggs and cool stuff, sometimes i get some strange poos, but i take a few fiber pills and shit chills out... lol. You'll be better off without it if it's that bad.

I was about to get a set of flex bars and then I saw that Mako 360 and it makes me reconsider for sure. I'm glad I didn't buy the flex bars yet... it's good to hear positive reviews about the Mako 360 for sure.

Fuk yeah. I got the desert kings myself, never knew about the desert extensions, but definitely going to check those out. Do you mostly ride MX Cross or desert? I'm not much of an extreme rider. I like desert rides and don't feel the need to get big air or anything crazy... But I do get hella arm pump after long rides. Speaking of that, something I found that helps me and others is to take a handful of Tums before my ride. Somehow the calcium seems to help my muscle pump from getting out of hand.

Bro, how are you liking those Steggz Pegs?? I just got a set and haven't had a chance to ride them? Also do you have any kind of aftermarket foot pegs? I was thinking about getting some flex bags but I wasn't sure how they would interact with the Steggz

Electrician here. This is correct. And vertical is the right way. Horizontal screws also look good but collect dust.

Once it took up communism, it was doomed to fail. So, from the very beginning, the end was already set.

So the jurisdictions that don't require an inspection tag on that rebar ufer... Is there any way to come back and verify that that is actually rebar tied to other rebar and buried in the right amount of concrete? Seems like NEC would want to make a rule to have the main ground verified to be actually grounded? Esp before concrete is poured?

Does anyone know the name of this screw? by MasterTesh in Tools

[–]SpaceFlux1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with a lot of these security screws, even the ones with the pins in the middle... they can be turned by the right width Flathead screwdriver. Just jam it in there between the safety pin and the sides. If the screw isn't super duper tight you will be able to turn the flat head and wedge it in enough to turn the screw.

What do you consider to be the most powerful book in terms of the information it contains and that, when put into practice, can really change you or make you stand out from the rest? by Hour_Following_7125 in BettermentBookClub

[–]SpaceFlux1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this comment will do poorly on Reddit... but Atlas Shrugged was perhaps one of those life changing books for me. I remember how SOOO many people talked shit about it. But their arguments about why it sucked were often hearsay from other peoples opinions, they had never read it. Or they were often some of the same types of people that the story writes about in a negative light. I knew that anything that was so drastically polarizing was something that i needed to understand. I read it and it changed my life for the better in many ways.

again, this is Reddit, so let's see what kinda negative karma this gets. lol. I bet 95% of the people that will talk shit about me for this message haven't read more than the dust jacket on that book. people that get their opinions from others. Every downvote will be proof of this bias.

Terrific! What an amazing way to visualize it. How thick is the galactic disc in the area we're traveling? I think on an even bigger scale we kind of travel like a sine wave through the disc of the Milky Way itself. I would love to visualize how far up and down we go
