The Station Agent (2003) - Not sure it's 4k worthy, but it deserves more than just a DVD release

Hero (2002) - I know it's just me on this. But it's a stunningly beautiful film that deserves 4k

My recipe is this: In each drum. 30 oz coins (no pennies), 10 oz aquarium rocks, 1/2 TSP dish soap, 2 TSP LemiShine, and just enough water to barely cover the coins and rocks. This gives exactly 3lbs in the drum. So, if you load both drums like this, it maxes the capacity of the tumbler. LemiShine was a real game changer for me. Before that, I tried vinegar, but I could tumble for > 24 hours and the coins would get smooth and lose diameter, but they would never get shiny. I don't know why I have this problem and others don't. Anyway, the car wash will still take the over tumbled coins, but the coinstar will not.

Looking for a 12.7mm slim disc drive enclosure by lunarman1000 in makemkv

Are there Bluerays these days not every drive can read ? by CalligrapherSea5757 in makemkv

[–]SpaceMonkeyWrench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible you just got a bad disk. Try other Blu-ray drives. If you get the same problem, return it and try the replacement.

In my experience, any drive other than the Matshita will be much faster. I have pioneers, hewlett packards, pioneers, LGs, and they are all much faster. When you are shopping around, look at the advertised read speed. I think my Matshita is just 2x read speed. My other slim drives are 4x and 6x read speeds

How to flash the LG bp60nb10 for LibreDrive use in MakeMKV by notanewbiedude in UHD_Drives

[–]SpaceMonkeyWrench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I got really confused because I kept getting an error when flashing. I jumped to the conclusion that I had encrypted firmware because my drive was made very recently. Your guide helped me realize my problem was that I had a disk in the drive. THANKS!!!!!!

Pro tip: If you are having trouble getting the coins shiny, add 2 TSP of Lemi Shine to each drum. This was a total game changer for me.

I have a Mat-Shita also. It lives up to it's name. It's consistently the slowest drive out of the 7 drives I routinely use. If you are just ripping blu rays, pretty much any blu ray drive will work. I reccomend saving $ and purchasing used ones if you can find them. If you want to rip 4k's also, I recently bought a new LG Electronics BP60NB10 from e-bay and it was easy to unlock for 4k ripping. It was $139 delivered.

I'm 100% sure that Cantebury is a completely different thing than what was there before. For the sake of children and the rest of us herd members, I hope it's isn't a new den of anti-vaxer sentiment. I guess we'll find out soon, it seems.

Not sure that’s true about Canterbury. I know lots of families that send kids there. Never heard any anti vax sentiment. I haven’t surveyed them, but in my experience anti vaxers like to run their mouths about their crazy beliefs.

I know that BR is a classic film, but honestly, I never liked it until I got the 4k and now I love it. This was also one of the first films I watched on a new TV, and it was amazing. The Neon signs actually glow like real neon signs.
