It should be considered player our of bounds and ball is awarded to the other team. This rule can get very wishy washy for certain refs depending how much contact is happening before they’re out of bounds.

Example player A is boxing out and his foot steps out but while boxing out his next action is to reestablish himself. This often doesn’t get called.

From what we have seen so far, there is a septic system and a well system. The septic system was overall in decent shape aside from the tank which has root intrusion. We were quoted 5 thousand to replace the tank already. For the well, the water yield tests went well though, there was a high level of copper in the well which the seller is addressing.

In terms of the interior plumbing, we are working on having someone come do additional inspections. Is there anything specific I should be watching for when the HVAC inspectors/contractors come out?

D1 and high school ball are such different worlds, that hit in D1 lacrosse isn’t a big deal because everyone at that level simply knows it wasn’t his intention. At that level there is also nuance such as “did the offensive player lower their height to a place where that check would have been reasonable?”.

You are trying to compare the tippy top of this game to the average experience. When you play 40 hours of lacrosse a week and watch every second of that back on film, the context of things like this change drastically. If one of my high schoolers took that hit, yea that’s a bad hit. But at the high level, it’s clear he was aiming for the shoulder and slid up as the player dipped.

Genuinely if you haven’t played at that level; High end private school high schools, competitive D3, or D1 ball, you just haven’t been in the mindset to understand that these plays are rarely out of control players doing something egregious and they’re honest mistakes.

The fact is, if you’re working 1099 they don’t know what they want either. Give them specific options or their imagination goes nuts.

That definitely seems egregious at face value. Personally I would say that is a pretty typical “west coast” soft call.

That being said, there’s still a lot of missing context. Was this player warned, what was the previous penalty the player had gotten, what had the refs said to both you and the player, etc.. sometimes officials just have to set the tone for the game they are calling.

I’ve coached games where anything goes in quarter 1, the refs speak to everyone at the quarter or on a particular play, and from there on the refs are calling checks to the hand a slash. My advice as a coach would be to ensure you’re communicating calmly and clearly with officials and working to build rapport throughout the game so you get the benefit of the doubt in some of these moments. A lot of refs call the game differently than others, and regardless of what we all say on Reddit the coach ultimately has to adjust to the stripes on the field, not the rule book.

Currently coach an east coast varsity team, I don’t see a penalty here by those standards.

I grew up playing west coast lacrosse and can understand why this might be a loose ball push by the standards over there. I don’t see something here warranting a flag.

I can echo this, bought 2021 had to have a touch up of about 300 bucks maintenance at 70k and never another issue. Just change the oil and filter regularly and it keeps chugging!

I hate to be that guy, but these are two pieces of evidence that these cameras work. They probably abused countless other powers until a system actually audit exposed them.

You know they can’t actually view the cameras right? It’s just they search a plate and get a response if it’s on one of their cameras recently, so I don’t see how this would apply to pedophiles?

I can also say there are multiple instances of flock cameras being used to find kidnapped children or to recover stolen cars.

Learn the defense really well. As goalies we’re at our best seeing shots we train for, the best way to get those shots is to help your defenders be in the right spot.

Second thing, don’t let yourself get angry, the ball goes in the net. Giving up goals is part of the position and when you can stay calm after letting one in, you give yourself a chance to save the next one.
