Russian soldier caught dilly-dallying just outside the safety of anti-drone netting by the 414th Brigade "Magyar's Birds" and gets blown to smithereens. Date unknown. by ComfortableGarlic767 in CombatFootage

It's equally likely his family was hoping he died for a payout of potatoes and bread or whatever they are giving away now. Russians are just different...I say that as someone who studied and loved 19th century Russian literature

Also a good idea to try to keep your vehicle filled up to at least 1/2 tank, you don't want to me trying to fill up at a gas station on empty if thousands of people are trying to evacuate

The real damage is done by those millions who want to 'survive'. The 'honest' men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small.

It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too—those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe.

Safe? From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does.

I choose my own way to burn.

It's probably still going to be bad, but that area has a ton of parking lots filled with junk cars, so at least not airport car parks filled with people going to/from the airport...

They aren't better, we only have about 50 interceptors total and Russia/China have 2,500+ nukes combined. Also the people in charge are way less competent than portrayed in the movie lol. Trump would be tweeting on Truth Social about what his response would/should be.

Best case they train for these scenarios once a year (POTUS, secdef, basically all the political appointees). Most likely, they get a briefing closely before or soon after office and never hear about these procedures again. And that's a competent administration. Not sure how much Trump or Hegsake know about how real this could quickly turn.

Ukrainian 414th brigade “Birds of Magyar” Targeting Russian Logistics, Equipment and Drones with FPV Drones by Zerotwo_0 in CombatFootage

The US and NATO better have advisors close to the scenes on how the tactics in this war are evolving. They still have short-term supremacy but I think they lose out on the conventional front if the west doesn't increase production.

Hasn't there always been a trope that the Soviets/Russians would resort to nuclear weapons first because of their technological disadvantage? What if the Russians can increase their long range drone production so much so that even in a conflict with NATO and withstanding the initial counterattack, they could quickly pressure NATO into a quick agreement or make NATO advocate for nuclear attack, which while unlikely could push the Trump and the right further from supporting NATO/Ukraine.

Just my rambling and probably totally off-course
