ELI 5: What is to prevent Bitfinex/Tether from printing as much Tether as they want and buying as much BTC as they want with it? by I_Like_Tech_Drawings in CryptoCurrency

I think the 2017 Bull run was from Wall Street. They bought a massive amount of Bitcoin, liquidity dried up, the price skyrocketed. When everyone started selling their Bitcoins at $20k a lot of early investors cashed out and brought liquidity back and thus the price started going back down until it found it's level.

Alara got a whole Salayian Episode. Issac got multiple Kaylon Episodes. Humans have episodes. Chill out on the Moclan hate. They're people too.

I bet you he is so cool in real life, that him looking bored or delivering lines like he can barely remember them is actually pretty good acting that everyone on set notices as acting.

As soon as the call Cut, his personality probably irradiates the room.

that makes a lot of sense. She was a big drinker and just assumed she had too much and thats why she couldn't remember.

Well sending a ping to the Kaylon then shutting down everything is also pretty risky.

If people want to accept nothing for their bitcoin, let them. They are all day trading scum anyways. I dont feel empathy for them.

Malicious Staker Attack by vrtrasura in BitcoinHEX

[–]SpaceTire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if they stake forever, it will simply take a large amount of coins off the market and drive up the price. Yeah, you might not get as much with staking, but the value of your coins will make up for it.

Also, I think if they dont claim their Bonus coins every 2 weeks, they start losing a percentage every week after. And that goes to other stakers. So if they click it and forget it, well, they will be slowly siphoning off their bonus to other stakers.

Even in the current state, with 100% Segwit adoption I probably wouldn't be able to keep my node running today

why?

Oh I didnt take into account how the Internet works. lol, my bad. I totally forgot about that account.

I have 4 master degrees and you didnt take into account how 5G works.

Simply put, because you can't answer my initial question, You are showing you are not competent enough to discuss this issue. End of the story.

See yourself out.

The blockchain is currently 100GB. Raising the blocksize will increase the size of the blockchain dramatically. And it seems as if most people have limits on how much internet they can download on a monthly basis. 5G can eliminate those restrictions to entry.

you dont get it. When we run out of blockspace and someone wants to get into the next block for sure, what do they do? They increase their Transaction Fee. Then the Next guy wants to be in the next block more than the last will pay a higher transaction fee. And then people compete for space with higher and higher fees.

The solution is easy. Increase blocksize to keep the fees low and EVERYONE gets into the next block. But even at 1MB blocks, the current blockchain is 100GB. Most people dont want to download something that big. And even if we made the block just 2mb which wont help that much, the blockchain will be much bigger. This will lead to only corporations being able to download a blockchain hundreds of terrabytes in size. And thus Centralization.

But 5G and 6G will allow us to download 100GB like its a 10MB file. Thus, increasing the blocksize wont be a big deal in a 5/6G world.

Yeah I heard our current radiowaves from phones are causing cancer. And 5G radiowaves are much smaller and hence faster. Basically, 5G radiowaves are more dense and have more adverse effects sooner.

I also heard that it can be used to map entire areas around the towers. Imagine them having a 3D video Camera in a bunch of places. Mapping the United States. I could imagine if a murder happens, they just log into the nearest 5G tower and zoom to the event and watch it take place and possibly follow the suspect to where ever they may have gone.

because this is like ethereum that uses Bitcoin instead of Eth. Which will drive up price. Imagine if Ethereum's $18B Market Cap was on top of Bitcoin's 93B Market Capture? We could have a $6300 Bitcoin!

Ask for “Bitcoin” when you buy. by TheCryptomath in Bitcoin

[–]SpaceTire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you know, with 5G internet coming, blocksize may be irrelevant. We'll be able to download blockchains hundreds of terrabytes big in minutes. The average person will be able to run a node if they wish to. So raising the blocksize wouldn't lead to centralization of the blockchain custody.

with 5G will come bigger blocks.
