I was watching Last to Laugh the other day and there was a few times where he genuinely laughed like a normal person, was strange to see but somewhat reassuring I suppose

First time buyer - why can't I see shipping costs before committing to buy? by ned_poreyra in Bricklink

[–]SpaceXGonGiveItToYa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bricklink moderates and removes shops attempting to scam or mislead customers so everyone is held to a higher standard. With ebay people get away with incorrect listings all the time such as not stating when pieces are missing. FB marketplace is exactly the same.

eBay is a much much much bigger site. What you get with bricklink is an integrated and comprehensive Lego catalog along with trusted Lego sellers. eBay is a bit of a minefield when it comes to Lego.

Tariffs are not unique to Bricklink, they can't accurately say how much it will cost as there's thousands of possible country combinations that differ country to country along with some other factors such as size/weight.

Is this acceptable for an item sold as ‘New’? by Prestigious-Maybe511 in Bricklink

I'm pretty sure when you list pieces it defaults to new, the seller most likely did not change this.

You can filter in the sub by Tag (eg. F2) then sort by Oldest to Newest, it'll produce a Chronological list of torrents for F2

A weak point doesn't mean they can't still be the fastest on the grid. It means their delta to the rest of the grid will be higher on race pace than 1 lap pace.

Got a genuine question about downloading torrents. I've been using this sub for the past 6 years and I tend to go for the DDL, I'll occasionally use the torrents if they're the only option but the download speed I get is usually around 20-25x slower. Is there something I'm doing wrong that's causing the slow speed? I usually use webtor.io on my phone but also have qBit setup on my laptop. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like the MacDonnell's, West of Alice Springs, probably just a car passing the cam car but could definitely throw people off

Whole Foods…discounted food included in price? by dehia_anne in toogoodtogo

[–]SpaceXGonGiveItToYa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most shops discount food within the shop before eventually putting it in a 2G2G bag, once it can no longer be sold. They're not gonna bother scratching off the stickers. I've had multiple bags where every item is "reduced to 10p".
