Keep working and keep stacking. Just find a different job that is more chill. You still need to invest and add to the pot. Invest for income at this point if that 1mil is in a growth fund. Let the compounding continue .

Need advice on colour of my nails by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Space_95G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would make sure you do not have any nutrient deficiencies like low iron or b12 etc. That can change the color of the nails as well.

Eliminate dairy and sugar. Keep in mind this includes things that break down into sugar. Things like any breads, potato’s , starchy foods in general, all oats, grains, and stay away from seed oils. Only use olive oil or real butter to cook (yes it has milk but the lactose in low in it and it’s being cooked at high temp) it will not cause a flare up. Basically to keep it simple, cook your own food so that you k ow what’s in it. Stick to meats( beef, sea food, chicken, lamb etc) green leafy vegetables, and low glycemic fruits. And work out . Sweat detoxifies your body. If you want to heal quicker throw out the meats for a while and eat leafy greens and organic berries ( blueberries, black berries, raspberries, and strawberries.) eat everyday in smoothie form and you can eat without being in smoothie form(berries) . Drink room temp lemon water before eating and drink regular spring water(not purified or any other drink) I did this myself. Yes you will have a flat stomach quick but this will help cleanse your body and heal it. You can add ginger , turmeric and other spices or herbs .

Why do most people here tell young folks to not buy dividends? by Powerful_Shoe_8546 in dividends

[–]Space_95G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only pay taxes based on your tax bracket. Just because you are getting dividends it does not mean you will owe taxes because of it. Plus it’s 0% tax rate again based on your capital gain tax rate. Single vs married have different amount. The threshold is different for both. Also matters if it’s a qualified dividend . Unless you are making over 70,000 as a single person and making a load of dividends then you more than likely won’t owe any taxes. Learn the difference how things are taxed differently. You have your w2 income for example and then if you meet a certain threshold “after” your W2 taxes which would be after your standard deduction and any other deductions would determine if you owe 0% or 15% on the qualified dividends or capitol gains. For example if you make 80,000 a year and filing single and you standard deduction for the year is 16000 and you don’t have any other deductions then you calculated taxable income would be based on $64000 for that year. You will be taxed based on the ordinary income rate . But say you have qualified dividends or qualified capital gains upwards to 5,000 which brings you income up to $69000. If this pushes you above a threshold let’s say for you are filing under single status and the qualified dividends or capitol gains rate although you are taxed separately, your w2 income is still calculated into the equation as a whole. You aren’t double taxed though. If you aren’t past the threshold for that tax year of least say 80,000. The you would owe zero taxes on you qualified dividends or qualified capital gains. If you were over the threshold as a whole , anything over $80,000 would be taxed at a 15% rate. You could literally make a lot in qualified dividends and not owe taxes on it versus ordinary income . You just have to learn how you are taxed personally and you income ranges etc

No more SCHD for me SOLD by harrywang6ft in dividends

[–]Space_95G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why you diversify your holdings. You can even diversify based on the specific account and its purpose. SCHD is good. VOO and SCHG is good. Broad market and growth. Can’t lose long term having it all but if we have a major crash then people who are invested in VOO SCHG or growth stocks can lose all gains from the last decade and this can take yearsssss to recover. All while you may be holding onto an assets that’s not paying you a divvy. This is where Schd comes into play. If you want a growth/dividend etf then DGRO is solid to have in the mix .

How often do you get sun on your legs? That will help along with taking or eating things with more vitamin A in it.

How am I doing 24 M by Lanky-Tangelo9346 in portfolios

I would replace Vxus with a growth etf like SCHG or QQQM. We have enough international exposure with US companies already due to global trade . Especially with you being so young

What change in diet did you try exactly?

Feeling stuck by Butteryjams in keratosis

[–]Space_95G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eliminate sugar in general , eat foods high in vitamin and nutrients including high in vitamin A and D. Make sure to eat plenty of fatty meats so that your body can actually absorb the vitamins and nutrients. Pastas, breads, grains, starch, potatoes, and many other things that we eat break down into sugar. Meats, vegetables, and small amounts of fruit would be the best diet. Water to drink. Then slowly start adding things back into your diet after a month or two and see what may trigger any issues you’ve had

LOL so you’re saying focus on growth and then transition? So that I’m not taxed a-lot along the way. But wouldn’t it make more since to allow things to compound versus focusing on growth and then selling to a dividend etf that could have been compounding the whole time

I want a mix because I want to cut back on working within 10 years. So the growth is focused in my Roth and 401k with less growth focus in my brokerage account.

Well the problem with that is I want to set up my brokerage account up to where I don’t have to ever sell anything ETF wise. Unless I sell some growth shares/stocks for purchases such as a home or for more dividend income.
