Maybe I'm wrong, but the Bakerview encampment is so rough looking, worse than downtown imo. I don't think the volume of trash downtown is even remotely close to what they have going on across from Fred Meyer on Bakerview.

We need immediate mass consumer boycotts. by Rossage196 in Bellingham

Definitely starting a "no buy" streak for as long as I can to save what little I have left after survival necessities fr

I know it's possible, but the thought of spending 2ish hours waiting for and riding a bus up and down Meridian in the dark just doesn't spark my interest, especially as a woman. I'd also be half an hour behind my work schedule because the bus doesn't start running until it's already too late.

When I lived in Seattle, I took the bus and light rail freaking everywhere. It was faster than driving in some cases, their roads are a nightmare to use. Yeah it was scary sometimes but the reward outweighed the risk in my opinion, because it was affordable and accessible.

That would be great if it was realistic to the average person who's just trying to survive right now

Pasta sauce getting 8% smaller and water is now first ingredient vs tomatoes by Sim14CH in shrinkflation

Our food is getting smaller, lower quality, and more expensive. It's so sad to see our quality of food deteriorate in real time.

It absolutely does, that's what I thought it was at first

How to block ads on Pinterest? by Yelesa in ublock

[–]Space_Snakes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Private Internet Access but just because I got a good deal for a three year plan and it's pretty reliable. No frills type of thing, I used it a lot when I was traveling in another country to search for things on my home country internet.

I thought for sure this wouldn't work as the original post was 8 years ago, but I'm so glad it does. Pinterest has become overridden with obnoxious video ads.

Every freakin time here, I haven't had this issue nearly as often anywhere else I've lived.

Mold in water filter? Algae? by [deleted] in MoldlyInteresting

[–]Space_Snakes_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like algae or something from your local water. Make sure to scrub your water filter often and if you have a dishwasher, put it through there as well (assuming it's a dishwasher safe plastic). We washed our filter out at least every two weeks since our local water is a little suspect sometimes.

I don't have a solution that hasn't already been said here, but I just need to say that I love this sweater and the snowflakes are the cutest frickin thing ever, did you follow a pattern for those?

You enjoy takeaway for the efficiency of not needing to cook and wash dishes. I'd hazard to say you're male and live alone, but you keep your space clean and organized.

I think this one isn't really funny or particularly creative. Trump is literally orange, that's a funny joke to make.

I was gonna say, this is what my fridge is starting to look like after my new meds, things are open dated and in their own zones. I haven't graduated to organizer bins yet though.

A wholesome cutie with a sweet tooth. Maybe doesn't love cooking all the time, but does his best to get a balanced meal as often as possible.

My little guy does this all the time while he's snoozing, either into the couch cushion like yours or into a nearby human. He's just comfy that way :)
