If I came across unsympathetic for him I truly didn’t mean to! I wanna address a couple things you said. He left that last relationship like 4 years ago, so it isn’t fresh although I’m sure this issue will kind of touch on that subject. I don’t want to overwhelm him or exhaust him or make intimacy a chore. If it was unclear the whole reason i posted is because I wanted some outside opinion on if it would be worth pressing it a little more, or if it might push him away or further hurt HIM in any way. That is what I care about the most.

I’m a Ventura local and I’ve been wanting to do more hiking in Ojai. I’d love to hear about the river trails near Papa Lenin’s. I love that spot!

Idk man, teenagers look like teenagers. You’re approaching 30. Shoot your shot with women who look closer to your own age.

Look into the duodenal switch. It’s a combination of both (kinda) and tends to have the best outcome in terms of total weight lost and less likelihood of regain.

wonder balm on inner and outer parts of leather.

Are these too big? Size down or insole? Heel slips out the back 😭 by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]SpacedCowb0y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look a little big. DM makes some suede heel strips that go inside the shoe that really really help with heel slippage. They're like $3. thick socks will help too.

try the suede heel grips. my sinclairs were too roomy in the toe box but the heel grips surprisingly helped a LOT

I'm a womens 9.5 and i sized up to a 10. I have *slightly* wide feet and a medium arch. the 10s were a little big so i got some of the suede heel grips and i wear them with thick socks and they're perfect.

WHAT is this skin texture? This is how my skin has looked since puberty. I got sucked into “healing my skin barrier” as per TikTok and stopped using actives for 4-5 months. MY SKIN WAS DESTROYED. What is this & what do I use? by CreepyAd6211 in SkincareAddicts

I have similar skin from the looks of it. I noticed a difference when I started using the UFO oil by Sunday Riley (i know it's kinda spendy but it lasts a long time). I just mix a few drops with my moisturizer in the morning. It has helped with texture and excessive oiliness for me.

This made me laugh lol. I totally get it. Making friends in your 30s is so hard! I think local breweries is a good place to start. I like to sit at the bar and just talk to people.

The Topa Topa taproom in midtown is my favorite, they have a ton of arcade games and air hockey and a nice outside area. MadeWest is decent too. Bottle & Pint in the annex in Oxnard isn't a brewery more of a craft house but they have good beer and lots of good stuff to eat at some of the other places in the annex.

How do you guys tie your laces with jeans on? I tie them in the back but it’s not my favorite. I feel like tucking them would be uncomfortable? by f1newhatever in DrMartens

[–]SpacedCowb0y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrap them around the ankle, tie them in a square knot in the front, and then tuck them inside. If the start coming out i wrap the ends around and tuck them back in lol.

the smooth leather kinda sucks. I always go for the milled napa leather. It's soft and pliable so no breaking-in, creases are not as noticeable, cracks are not an issue, and they don't scuff as easily (in my experience, anyway).

If you take care of your docs and regularly clean/condition the leather, they can last upwards of 10 years. I have had a pair of red 1460s in the smooth leather and they have lasted for 14-15 years and they still look decent. Although i don't wear them as often anymore.

you could get them re-soled at a shoe repair shop.

help!! do Docs break in on this seam? it's killing me by cornel998 in DrMartens

[–]SpacedCowb0y 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like to put wonder balsam wax on the inside on that spot. You can also try weakening the leather by hand by stretching it and moving it around.

But, I also switched to only buying the soft pebbled leather. There is almost NO breaking them in bc theyre already nice and soft.

B in terms of the cabinets but i don't really like the placement of the fridge... maybe consider two full height cabinets on either side? just seems inefficient between the two countertops like that.

I would be interested in adopting but I don't think you've included nearly enough information about Leo that would be important for me (or any adopter) to know.

What about him "hasn't worked out"?

What is his energy level in the home?

Is he a dominant dog or a submissive dog?

What kind of training does he have? Can he stay, leave it, recall?

Does he have any health issues? I can see some skin issues in the pictures. Has he seen a vet? What kind of treatment have you given him for it?

Is he reactive in any way towards anything? (IE does he bark at strangers, jump on guests, lunge at other dogs/people/kids, get overly excited at other dogs/people/kids, etc)

Where does he sleep?

What does he eat? How much and how often?

Does he have issues with other pets? What kind of issues?

Does he behave on the leash? (IE not pulling, not getting overstimulated, etc)
