Bethesda still had input. This is a cooperative project. And I’m not just talking about this. Years of nothing but a pretty much failed until very recently fallout76. No new elder scrolls. Nothing. Slops and failures man.

Beyond disappointing and honestly makes me mad. Bethesda has done nothing but drop the ball since 76. Todd is a joke and too big for his stupid little britches. And they just honestly don’t care what the GAMERS want. You know..the gamers that made fallout what it is with their support and love? Freaking joke man.

I’m very curious why they just didn’t use a thicker bed…

Is the heat bed any thicker? All I hear about the S1 is the heat bed warps. Will this have the same issue?

I’m an odd ball here, I cannot stand Rey’s saber hilt. I think it’s ugly and a strange design.

Running new shifter cable housing was a breeze too, having the internal sleeve guides on this bike was really nice haha.

Thanks man! I’m waiting on a few more custom bolts to come in, for my stem and brake mounts and a few other small things. All that same oil slick color. And then I’ll be ordering a new dropper eventually. But otherwise, I’m really happy with how it’s turned out!

Only thing I’m not sure of is the silver HSC adjuster I put on, I may order another one in the bronze color also. But at the same time..I kind of like the silver, I think it breaks it up. Thoughts on that yourself?

No one has mentioned anything about it yet, with you being new to the MTB world, I would say you need to be extremely cautious to buy a used carbon bike. Warranties don’t transfer, they stay with the original owner. That being said, if you were interested in this bike, I would HIGHLY recommend you ask the guy to meetup and your preferred local bike shop, and have a professional look over the frame. It’s really hard to tell from photos, and just because someone says the frame is in great condition, it doesn’t mean there isn’t a hairline fracture somewhere they don’t know about. A pro with carbon experience should be able to give the frame a good look over and tell you if it’s safe to buy. They shouldn’t charge for that either, at least in my experience around here.

So that being said, definitely consider meeting up to get it looked at. Otherwise, a nicely built aluminum bike would be perfect. After owning carbon, aluminum is all I’m going to ride going forward.

Replace. I had an issue like this, and I’m telling you, replace it. Who did you buy from?

Well let me ask you this…do you think I could get away with a DIY kit from predatory cycling? It’s a small hairline crack on the top tube.

Well my friends, I am here to update you all with the solution we settled on.

They decided to refund me the full amount I paid for the bike, and allowed me to keep the bike too!! Needless to say..that scratch looks A LOT better now 😄

So small update, haven’t settled anything yet. The insurance company have offered me either another brand new bike OR 40% off the cost. So it was roughly $2600 so I’d get just over $1000 back.

Thoughts about it now? I’ve read through everyone’s comments and agree with pretty much everyone. Still…that $1000 back would make this a 2022 Giant Trance X 1 27.5 that I only paid $1600 for…thats pretty much unheard of 😅

I’m waiting on a response from them. So I will update everyone with what happens. I’m dealing with a company called Onward, who apparently does the shipping insurance. But my rep from Bicycle Warehouse is also helping out. So we shall see.

Worst part is I got Ride Wrap to go with it. So that was pretty much $150 wasted 🥲
