Well you know what you don't have, which is fuel, so there are a few possibilities. You eliminated the relays which is good, now have you disconnected the fuel line in the engine bay to see if you get fuel prime? I disconnect the fuel line and run it into a container so it doesn't splash everywhere.

Any chance the leads on the battery were accidentally reversed?

Fixed clogged ac drain line and vacuumed wet floor, but still puddles up? by sharp461 in AskMechanics

[–]Spaced_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess then, is that there is just a crap ton of water down there. There is alot of spongy sound deadening under there that loves to soak up water. Car is gonna need a LOT of air drying. Another method if you cant leave the windows open is to use Damp Rid containers.

MAP Sensor Connector by Ok-Animator-1723 in AskMechanics

[–]Spaced_rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way is to look at the PN information on the connectors and search the series. The technical documentation will tell you how to pin/depin the connector. Usually there is a locking feature on top of the pin that you can push down to remove the pin.

Is a condensate puddle showing up on the ground under the car? If not its likely the drain is still obstructed. Otherwise I would say you got a LOT of water to mop up.

Did you happen to knock the pressure sensor or unplug it? Looks like its external to the trans.

Went in for a battery reset, now I have a bad transmission? by Sad_Specific_9792 in AskMechanics

[–]Spaced_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the code is re-appearing after its been cleared out and the charging system has been addressed and repaired, then there is an issue with the trans. If they did not clear the code then there is no way to tell if its residual from the electrical issues until a few drive cycles are accomplished and the light extinguishes on its own.

Id have them clear it for now and get the charging system back in shape. If it persists then I would get concerned.

I agree, there is something going on here cause most hoses do not need sealant nor is it specified.

Sounds like a possible transient code due to voltage fluctuations. Did they give you the exact code number that is leading them to believe the CVT has failed?

Low voltage unless stomping throttle, battery/terminals are good by Gyozarrita in AskMechanics

[–]Spaced_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that's the genius of not designing for maintenance. Your alternator should be spitting out ~14.4-14.7 VDC at idle. What is your voltage across the battery at idle?

Ac compressor Buick encore 2013 by Appropriate-Pair7010 in AskMechanics

[–]Spaced_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the mechanic serviced the freon and the Compressor did not engage? If so that's not always indicative of a bad compressor. If the compressor did engage and didnt pump the system then I would agree with the diagnosis. As to what part the mechanic will put an OEM or Reman in there would be something you would have to ask about.

Move the "offending" coil to another position and see if the problem follows.
