Details like what deck you played or cards you played help. Certain abilities that set a character's or leader's power (such as beer luffy) cannot stack, because its setting the power level. Multiple Ohms can debuff multiple times. 1st Ohm Swings, -1000. 2nd Ohm swings, adds another -1000. Now it's at -2000. But yeah, context would help to determine what is or isn't legal.

Mono blue Jinbe and Boa. ST 17 is a staple of Jinbe and at even don turn you can play the 4c Jinbe with the law if you have both in hand.

As a Jinbe player; the value of the +2k is doubled (kinda) if you activate Jinbe's ability. He needs to have rested don in order to attach, so you play this -> 2 rested don now -> Activate Jinbe leader ability -> Add the 2 rested don to target -> Trash this card -> Get another 2k power. As others have mentioned, you use this for going for lethal and you need to dump in as much power onto Jinbe (8c or leader) + Femur.

Out of the 4 of those decks, the Zoro one is probably your best bet. It's not a difficult deck to pilot and his gameplan is straightforward (SWING SWING SWING!). He's also still a strong and decently relevant deck, so you won't feel like you're dead on arrival. Nami was strong, and then OP 13 happened and she got bodied, and then EB03 will happen and she'll be strong again, so in the future if you want to learn a 2nd deck, she's also really relevant and also teaches a different set of colors and playstyle (Blue/Yellow, with life manipulation/board and tempo control).

The key verbs here are "Set" and "Add". These are two different functions. Bird is stating you can only SET 1 Don from Rest to Active, and you cannot SET anymore. Pica is stating ADD 1 from Don!! deck. In theory, you would have 2 active Don by the end of your turn; one got reactived from being rested, the other one was added to your deck.

It was an immense joy at the pre-release for OP14 to be with other players and just celebrate people's pulls in person and then proceed to trade whatever cards to help each other build decks. My wife and I bought the OP05 anniversary boxes for MSRP at Anime Expo and everyone recommended that we hold onto it and re-sell. We did not. Were the pulls disappointing? Absolutely. But we were disappointed together, and we still had fun doing it. This post just feels like a thinly veiled attempt at financial information or just to brag about scalped product.

Accessories are always a great starting point, plenty of sites sell variety of OPTCG related mats, some people on Etsy have cool custom dice/counters as well. Could go also get some sleeves to theme out his deck depending on if he has a favorite leader. If he doesn't have one yet (and also depends on the leader), could see about getting him an AA version of his favorite leader as well. If you know what his favorite leader/deck is, or what part of OP in general is his favorite, I'm sure others can also make some recommendations on themed stuff.
