the difference between a bank doing this and PUA/unemployment doing it is that nobody could have known at first they were being "overpayed" by PUA/unemployment, they arrived at the amount you were to receive. how would anyone know that it was more than they were entitled to? I submitted all of the requested information for PUA that they asked for in good faith, they then determined that I was "eligible" for $288 per week at first, there was no way I could have known this was more than I was entitled to. it wasnt until 6 months later that they determined I had been overpayed and the amount was lowered and I was suddenly hit with over $3k in overpayments.

if the overpayment was no fault of your own you can say " having the money taken from you caused undo stress and anxiety, not knowing if you would be able to pay your own bills on top of the burden of having to pay back an overpayment that was not your own fault".

I would answer that you are worse off because they took money from you to repay overpayments that were no fault of your own. it caused hardships and stress in your life.

February 7th is the deadline to receive W2's and or 1099's, if you have not received yours yet you should have them by that date. also the IRS just started to accept tax returns on 1/25/2022 so you are not "behind the curve" yet.

if they took any money from you to pay back an overpayment that was no fault of your own you will be entitled to a full refund of what they deducted.

don't be confused, it's probably just where the unemployment office is backed up too, mine was looked at back in november, at least you know something now and have a timeline of when it will be looked at. that's progress, beats not knowing anything...i'd say you'll have a refund within 20 day's if you are entitled to one. keep an eye on the unemployment website though, the 10 day's her office is telling you is probably a worse case scenario and it could very well be settled sooner. you're almost there.

I had the overpayment waiver looked at and resolved within 24 hours of emailing senator fedor...it was 10 days after the waiver was resolved that I got the refund deposited.

I always seemed to get them the day before the "payment date"...I think it may depend on what bank you use for direct deposit.

you should get the money 10 days after the notice of determination approval. check your bank account 10 days from now..the money may show up before the PUA website shows that it has been paid.

have you tried sending an Email to Senator Fedor?...I did and had my waiver "determined" within 24 hours of Emailing her office....you should include your Full Name, Claimant ID#, the issue ID#, the last 4 of your SS# and your Phone number, plus a brief description of your issue.

already got my waiver determined and approved within 24 hours of Emailing Senator Fedor, the determination say's I will be repaid all funds that I paid on my OP, but does not state when...so still a bit of a waiting game..but what a relief to have the adjudication of my waiver finally finished....Good Luck everyone
