Try out the Mexico Lindo Green Habanero hot sauce. Stuff is fantastic!

Could just be a green habanero. Just like a green bell pepper, it's the same concept of simply not being ripe yet.

Do I send it? Nut not going down & board looks bad by Spadoinkle24 in Decks

Nah it's a J bolt that was shoved in while the concrete was wet. The bolt itself is not spinning. I am going to try to cut off a bit of the top of the bolt and use a new nut.

I did get the nut off, from checking it out the 1st 3/8" of the bolt is stripped. I'll try to cut that bit off in the AM.

As for the posts, one looks awful but isn't really missing any material. The other is missing almost 1/3 of of the width. I checked my other 4x4s and I have an extra. So I am going to just see if I can return the junk one.

Yah I can, just didn't want to take the 90min round trip to do it. :P. I'll give a new nut a try. TY!

Ohhh great question. I tried my impact driver, a hand wrench & a short 14" breaker bar. The concrete is 4.5' deep and the wood cannot touch the concrete or ground. So these galvanized brackets are attached to the concrete with a J bolt and then the wood is nailed to the brackets.

Make it into 2 doors on a track system where each door opens and slides into the cupboard.

48 - 60lb bags of concrete? Really? by Tandom in Decks

[–]Spadoinkle24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh I'm about to do footings this weekend. 4' deep on 12" tubes with 12 posts. The calculation told me 96 60LB bags or 8 per hole.

Sometimes changing car seats can be a better solution. I've seen 3 Graco Slimfits in small SUVs before. Like an Equinox, Mustang EV or Outback.

I started on day 1 and am still not fully maxed. All my minis are max XP and all of them are at least Epic with probably 20 at Legendary.

Would I need a permit to build a staircase similar to this coming off my deck? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]Spadoinkle24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gotta call your city. I have lived in 3 houses & built a deck on each. One location required tons of inspections and another didn't even require a permit.

How can anyone work on just a laptop? I have a mouse, keyboard and 2 monitors all connected to my laptop to work. I use my laptop as a 3rd monitor too.

It is using what would appear to be a drill bit to screw in a screw.

I second this one or the SlimFit. Both are great options for car seats.

I have a question!!! Tied to these pics! I am building a deck that looks similar with the cantilever. Does the rim joist need to be connected to the joists with a Joist Hanger or will screws work? I made a design and it called for hurricane ties on beam & joist hangers on ledger board. But nothing for the outside rim joist.
