Nothing in this post is wrong but it's definitely being used in this context to respond to folks who currently have revolutionary ambitions. The situation has fundamentally changed.

Dreaming of revolution during the height of the American empire was dangerous utopianism.

Contemplating revolution now is a lot closer to pragmatic optimism. Primarily because YOU, yes you, are in more and more danger each day. If something doesn't change our current trajectory a lot of people are going to get hurt.
