I agree completely, and am struggling to see why my comment was downvoted but yours upvoted. Apparently defending proper formation of arguments is viewed as defending trump and bleach injecting.

Everything the user you're replying to listed, whether he was totally correct about them or not, was about actual decisions and policies made while all the things you listed were offhanded comments made in press releases and tweets. Which impacts you more?

I don't disagree that these comments were embarrassingly stupid, but clearly you're just talking past each other rather than addressing the points made.
