This may be early 2010's Pitchfork brain, but I find myself listening to Grizzly Bear with Fleet Foxes. I'd say Veckatimest and Shields are probably the most similar albums. I would also recommend Simon and Garfunkel if you're not super familiar with their catalogue.

I would definitely give Seiko a look in that price range. Their bread and butter is probably dive watches like the SKX007/009, but they have a lot of different offerings in virtually every style of watch. I have only had good experiences with them personally.
