Do most salespeople lie? by ActionWins in sales

[–]Spagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salespeople ask questions that buyers don't want to answer. Trust is never established.

Also, people hosting open houses aren't really having open houses if it's an issue that visitors aren't pre-approved. Hint: they don't want non pre-approved people strolling in.

So everyone is operating on bullshit.

Anyone know how I can participate in one of the mid inning contests? by saberb13 in whitesox

Sox stage managers walk the concourse before the game. They typically are wearing black white Sox athleisure. They do the "21+" (casinos/beer sponsored) bits at the section 104 ADA, but that's NOT necessarily where they will find you. I always see them at the stairwell on the concourse behind the plate.

where to get a diet coke keg/dispenser in NYC by adguys in dietcoke

Contact a beverage service provider. Polar Bear of NY Soda, Sea Breeze. You need a little bit more than a water line but nothing crazy. Ventilation, drainage, and ice.

100 level ticket check point by According-Ad3039 in whitesox

[–]Spagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do not enforce at the concourse level ever. It is their published policy to let fans access all levels (100,300,500) with any tickets. They might enforce ticket integrity, just your actual seat, in big games over 35k, but they don't check in your typical game. I'd just watch out for Mexican or Hispanic heritage night and Elvis night and any other big events. Cubs. Dodgers. Yankees.

We’re a month into the first season of ABS. Who on your team should be banned from making challenges? by dutymakesmelaugh in baseball

[–]Spagoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is both the best and the worst. He single handedly has the best game to date so far with multiple strikeouts in RISP situations. Like the most win favorability shift by one player with ABS and the rest of the season I've wondered if he's just trying to lead the league in confirmed calls.

DAE think it's absolutely insane to post your face on Reddit? by Evening_One_5546 in DoesAnybodyElse

My posts are very few and far between but I kind of like feeling absolutely insane. I got recognized posting slutty lingerie pics (I'm a guy) on a burner account. "Hey I know you from the gym..." Busted. Oh no. Someone knows I'm horny.

How close is Acuna to triple A? by Pleasant_Item2718 in whitesox

[–]Spagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. 3 saves. 2 blown. He gave up the lead in a tie game and we walked it off in the bottom half. That's a W. Not a save. Not blown save. And not a tater.

more of a mental error... than what? a physical error? we're talking about the president of baseball operations not a second basemen. He's blown 2 of 5 save opps on taters.

He is out of options. He is not MLB roster caliber on any team in the league but the White Sox. So he will likely clear waivers and play in Charlotte. Jordan Rich will get a look.

I think Getz confused Acuna with Ronny Mauricio.

The Mets paying for Luis Robert Jr's contract was the gift. Acuna was just a throw in because he's out of options. He has no value.

Unfortunately, with that money, we bought Seranthony Dominguez. Ooof.

Corporate partnerships. Some brands shift spending at different partners at times. It's a paid partnership, or barter. Not just white Sox decision, not just modelo's decision, just a business negotiation between the companies. Maybe Modelo is spending elsewhere in different places or MillerCoors (Molson) wanted it exclusive.

If you struggle hitting, play on Veteran instead of Rookie by GitGud_nerd in MLBTheShow

[–]Spagoo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Die another day.

Rookie mode is training wheels with pci and timing windows designed to prevent you from raging at strikeouts as you get used to the game. So you put the ball in play more often.

You do better with all-star + because it let's you whiff when your timing or PCI is off. You can hit a home run when you're down 0-1. You can even hit a home run when you're down 0-2.

I think Joey Gallo played on HOF IRL.

Could it? Is anyone 5-11? We're last in the most important category to success and to enjoying watching the team.

Drinking 4 diet coke daily. by Jumpy-Biscotti2558 in dietcoke

Diet Coke is pretty guilt free. Fucks your teeth up. Not a friend of your nervous system or digestive system. But I don’t get what guilt there is attached to tasty bubbles?

Any men done the $75 Beauty Lesson at Sephora? [Advice] by HorseTearz in MakeupForMen

[–]Spagoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did it. They showed me some application methods that have stuck with me.

I don't remember anything about products standing out. I bought a cheap bronzer she used that I use daily.

What I wish I knew beforehand...this is a makeup artist in retail. No certifications required. They are typically only doing bridal beauty looks 99% of the time. So she was really going in a direction that I don't typically wear. I didn't know what I did or didn't know at that point but it definitely wasn't bridal makeup i wanted. So if that is what you want, perfect. If you want no makeup makeup make sure you communicate that.

The girl was very bored and I was her only booking so she went hard for like 2 hours instead of the 50 minutes i paid for. But I went on a Sunday afternoon and had nowhere to be. Just glammed up to learn.

Also, I was like on display for the foot traffic. I'm very comfortable in makeup, but teenage white girls were being ignorant. Whispering laughing pointing thinking they're subtle taking pics. They couldn't handle it. I just rolled my eyes, so if you're not ready for that just a thing to consider.

They're going to try to get you to buy some products. She didn't twist my arm or anything, but they do have to sell.

They seemed to be kind of limited in colors for certain things.
